It was just meant to be... (Vanessa is returning!)

Folks, have I got some GNUs for all y'all...

Vanessa has been found and is coming back home in a few days!

Now, I'm gonna have to warn y'all. She's not really in such good shape at this point. But the fact of the matter is, thanks to another TDF member, mannequin man, who was in the right place in the right time, called me about a couple of weeks ago to tell me that she got found and even though he had to pay the person who was gonna sell her, but mannequin man isn't gonna charge me a damn thing, solely upon the fact that she belongs to me and it didn't seem right to charge me for doing so; and that it was simply meant to be.

This picture isn't pretty, but not a big issue at this point... at least she's wholly intact for the most part, just missing her eyes and wig.

Wow congrats. Do something nice for him, for finding her for you. Slowly pay him back. Or offer him a hand. I do hope you get her back in fighting shape.

Oh... don't worry... mannequin man and I already have certain things in mind... Of course, that would have to stay off TDF of course. It's "proprietary information."

I've been told that I'll be getting Vanessa back by at least tomorrow... and still is in good shape.

Makes me wonder about other dolls and what happens to them after they are sold to a new owner. Are they treated well or would most of us cringe at the way a subsequent owner treats it? Is someone really rough or abusive with the doll and damages it badly and trashes it, or does it get well taken care of, perhaps getting better treatment than the original owner could have provided.

I'd bet the second owner does not treat as well as the first in most cases, simply because they have less money invested.

TBH, I was very well treating of her! Just somehow something came up this past May and was separated from her. Per what TDF staff had discussed with me before, I'm not allowed to discuss it.

But please, don't assume. What happened to her was beyond my control, all I'm concerned is that:
1. She was found.
2. My friend (more like brother) found her and called me he got her for me.
3. Everyone else had made congratulatory statements. I know you have concerns but things beyond my own control happened to her but I tend to overlook things like that. Shit, I'm typing this on an old Apple iBook G4 12" with a long-deprecated version of Mac OS X when I could be doing this on my Ubuntu 15.10 box! (maybe that was not a good analogy...

)

Vanessa: Ji-Eun and ks: Who said BootLoop treated me poorly? I'm just happy I'm getting my BootLoop back. I know you have concerns but under no circumstances has he treated me poorly! It's not a "money" issue... it was just stuff beyond his control! Meh! Please!

Vanessa is right, Ji-Eun and ks. It was just simply things beyond my control. I understand very well these dolls are investments but they're not just monetary investments to me. They're my life. I had my heart invested in Vanessa. So, please, I don't mind having useful discussion with some concern... but It's my time to celebrate.

She got found. Just please think about it if it happened to you. And don't say you're not gonna let it happen. Never say never.

Glad to hear your lady has been found and returned to you.
I recently purchased a pair of extra eyes and wigs from Phoenix Studios (Boy Toy Dolls) that I do not want. They all are brand new and never been used. I could sell them fairly cheap to you if you are interested.

This is very upsetting. Mannequin man has not returned my phone calls nor has he responded to my PM's regarding her whereabouts.

So... as it stands, I don't think Vanessa is returning.

I do have quite a story to tell... but the public one is that Vanessa was donated to me. On my income, it would be totally impossible to buy a RealDoll or a Boy Toy doll without having to literally starve myself for a whole year or more. It was wonderful to have her... but unless someone can make my Christmas happier, without the games and such I had faced prior to having someone truly come through and do so... please do not hesitate to send me a PM. I do not have much to go upon to pay for whatever... maybe I could cover some of your shipping (or travel, if you live in the Indianapolis/Central Indiana area) costs, but for the cost of the doll, I cannot do it.
