Re: Teddy Babe Standard still around?
I'm guessing you didn't ask for darker fabric skin. Flat out said they couldn't help me when I asked about a deluxe version of Diana a few weeks ago. Only pointed out where I could find the left over small Diana's on their site.Grasowka wrote:I`m hoping still that 8W will offer the standard Teddy babes again... BTW, they aren't afraid regarding innovations: last year when I contacted them concerning a standard Heather model, they offered me to produce a custom made doll for me for a little surcharge only.
Could always see if I can find a used deluxe and dye it myself I suppose....

Actually they weren't much over 4'2." Although it's possible some could have been close to 4'5" due to production variances. I measured Lexy here and she came in at exactly 4'2".Mr Franz wrote:Just curious, where all the standard TB's 4'5" or were there taller versions? I really hadn't paid that much attention to them before.
But there are a few differences between the last version of the standard Babes and the the first versions such as Michelle here. They were more like 3'8"-3'10." There are other differences as well. The older or "Classic" models had bigger hooters and a different face shape. While they look the same from a distance. The last evolution standard Babes had some extra shape to their cheeks. If you look closely at Lexy, you will notice that she has a bulge under each eye that sort of gives her chubby little cheeks like a chipmunk where as Michelle doesn't have that feature.
There was also a third type that was made between these two versions referred to as the "neoclassic." This type was basically the same as the classic except with longer legs. But still only 4'2".
Edit: I forgot to mention that the last version of the standard Babes also has slighter bigger feet than the classic versions.
So basically, there were three versions of the standard Babes. And two versions of the deluxes.
Girlfriends are for guys who haven't found the right doll yet.
I feel much better now that I've given up hope.
