Well I did my best, we made a small incision near the ankle, needle nose pliers inserted and bent the end curling like, sewed her back up like a glove..no more poking wire in foot

Probably play around with those glow in the dark pigments I have been meaning to try...

I guess I'm late to the discussion, but Audrey's ankles have always been kinda goofy. I'm not sure what it is, I thought it felt more like there's some kind of metal plate in there than a wire, but I don't know, maybe it's wire? There's definitely something there under her skin, but it's never poked through, so I don't really worry about it. She's about a year and a half old.

Never too late Treehorn, I almost would rather she have plates in her feet. I would think it would make her easier to stand up on her own...

I've yet to use this marker, I'm not sure how it works, so I'm going to have to play around with it on a t shirt or something before I use it on Sam. It's also different from the fabric markers I've been using as you have to shake it and the tip pushes in, so I'm not really sure. Also I will probably have to use a black light to apply it seeing it's almost invisible in light.. not sure...

Btw here's the plethora of markers I'm using for this project, some of these aren't fabric markers and I don't use those on Sam. Also you can see I have some Tulip brand markers here(fabric), I don't use these either as I've said before, they tend to bleed....

Guess I'm wondering if besides the dark skinned Teddybabe, are all teddybabes the same flesh tone or do they very?

they very it all depends on the batch of plush they are made from. i would think all dolls would be made from the same batch of fabric when they order more it may be slightly different in color or texture. the original dark girls were hand dyed by eighth wonder and that is why they were lighter colored and discontinued. the second genertion of dark girls were custom made dark plush dyed at the factory from what i have heard.

That's super interesting...
I feel the the skin tones should change a touch from character to character. ... just thought they would embrace the differentiation. ..

this is the way i understand it from talking to midiman when he sold them. all the deluxes have the same body except the small breasted ones. they have some premade dolls to match the usual models and some plain bodies so when someone orders a semi custom doll they add the eyes, lips, pubes, nails, nipples and wig to match the order.

What did the "foot" of your skeleton look like "stock" as I think I am having a similar issue? I know in the pictures I have seen, the ends are supposed to be coiled into a small ellipse. But lord knows which generation of TB it was.

I am also wondering if your embroiderer might be able to create patches of the lips and eyes your Sam has as those would totally be a worthy upgrade.

Yes, it was literally a wire rod a little curled, as I fixed this issue, there's still wires poking through the poly fil up the entire leg and you can feel it in her hip and up at the tip top of her head. I'm finding that the only way to make this better is to literally open up the back stitch and remove the skeleton, but I don't think I'm going this rout.

As for the eyes and lips, yes this can be done...
