Hi Phil ...of Dolls house.. I've had my Viola doll for must be several years. Think when I attempted to repair fingers I hadn't realised my skills with tpe are similar to the skill a bull displays in a China shop. I'm wondering if it's remotely possible I could get new Viola hands I realise the attachment isn't going to be perfect but it'd maybe be a better option than my current efforts. Maybe you could make some inquiries. Never regretted buying Viola for an instant. : )

Apologies for the late reply.

In theory this should be possible.
I will ask for you - although at best it would involve using TPE glue to attach the TPE back together.

really the companies should be able to make replacement hands and feet, yeah they will have a scar around where the part was removed and put back on but at least the dolls will have working parts. Maybe here on TDF we should cast hands and get TPE and make hands, there are already people on here making better replacement hand skeletons then what the dolls came with

Actually I kept on a JinSan, and there may be something that we can do.

I have been supplied these images of hands - we may be able to replace them.
I have left a message to ask if these have a skeletal design like the dolls or if they are pure TPE.

So there may be something to work with here.

According to JinSan, these hands have the same skeleton as the regular dolls.
So you could cut around the wrist, and unbolt the wrist, to attach to your doll arm, and use TPE glue/heat gun to melt the TPE back together around the wrist.
We can supply the hands for £150 per pair, delivered.

Finally some common sense. I've wanted this option for ages. Ami is a WM158D tanned skin so She's a Jinsan body I think? I'm very close to modding her existing hands but I'm not sure if they will survive the procedure as they are in really poor condition, the TPE is really soft and delicate, so a backup plan would be 'handy'!
