By no such thing as "normal", do you mean it is inconstant?
There really was a choice of normal, extra soft, or Ultra soft.

Out of the dozens of Jinsan dolls that have passed thru here. Only one did this. It literally started tearing apart right out of the box. The results were exactly like this doll. It was self tearing in the standing position. I only spread the legs once to photograph her for the company. She tore everywhere. Elbows, armpits, inner thighs, butt cheeks etc.
every other TPE doll here 6Ye, YLDoll, JYDoll, WMDoll, ASDoll and JellyDoll are all intact! They stand for months, some years without powder or oil. Everybody happy. The only thing I might add is, never use cocoa powder for your doll. It is edible and can attract pest. I tried to darken a TPE doll some time ago and the result was not good. Something started eating holes in her. No I don't have a bug problem. No more than normal. I live by thick woods so ants and shit come in every once in a while but I take care of that every time I see one or two. I put out the borax and kill the queen wherever she might be!

Far from the the truth!
Normal TPE will come back in the same amount of time it took and when you lay a doll on its back, laws of gravity will cause this.
You believe what you do and I will what I see. The first dolls ass in the condition it arrived was the first sign of trouble in a big way. The second doll didn't arrive in the same manner yet split open at the same exact locations. Two different formulations by your own admission. This goes to my original point and comment, "This seems the perfect example of material exceeding it's limitations".

I am not here to argue and have stated my opinion which I draw on from decades of experience.

I will end with this, TPE has it's rebound properties because of it's molecular structure. It has nothing to do with gravity.

Any good blend of tpe comes back on it's own or with massage if it wasn't left too long compressed.

This particular was made in a not good way and not indicitive of any tpe of good quality that i have dealt with. I may even suggest that the method to produce such a dark color might be a cause. Certainly ultra soft dolls are a problem and i cannot recommend them.

Jeff, I was thinking the same thing earlier but forgot to mention it ... The pigment used for coloring the doll may have counteracted and negatively affected the TPE mix ... which leads to the question of how many of these dolls exist ?? Where these one offs ??? IDK

Something for R&D.

It reminds me of a few old tin cured dolls that I've seen coming apart as the silicone breaks down.

Well, I just hope that this won't turn out to be true because the dark pigmentation is the only reason why I would buy a TPE doll and not a silicone one anyway. At least I haven't encountered such a dark silicone one yet.
And it can't be the only reason, although it might seem as the simplest explanation, because we have already seen many black TPE dolls doing just fine.
Especially H+F's Ashaki comes to mind and she is doing a lot of workout for the monthly animation challenges.
If there is a positive example for a highly stressed out black TPE doll than it is probably her.

OK...So If I have read this correctly, both the dolls, same configuration, one new and one second hand have had this issue.

So...this occurs if the tpe was to cold for the formulation when injection molded, or if the doll is not rested long enough for curing prior to packaging and dispatch, Humidity and high temperatures in storage make the cure even more meticulous and important.

OK...so we got to look at rule 10 here.

If the dolls ended up like this with minimal handling and usage, the dolls are clearly defective, more than likely due to the above. A premium blend doll (should not have any recycled tpe at all) and I would not be surprised if this was not a premium export quality doll. If this is the case, the maker is liable for the cost of replacement or full refund. This is not a vendor issue, unless the vendor has inspected the doll prior to dispatch and has QC out all manufacture (rather than shipping defects).

It is also possible that the poster has mishandled the doll, and has a whammer the size of Anung's right hand of doom. Not likely the case, even in Africa, and the tear points suggest two things, incorrect curing and moulding, and incorrect storage.

Over to you guys to sort out what you want to do.

I read both dolls were received New.

One other poster stated the same type of problem with a doll he received from another manufacturer.

Is there a thread about this on the WM thread page?
If not there should be one started maybe
I would like to hear what WM has to say and what they plan to do about this because this is completely unexceptionable here...
We have a doll owner who deserves a premium quality doll.
This is all very upsetting and must be resolved.

Thanks everyone for your attention and support.

A few precisions:

- Both dolls were received brand new or supposed to be.

- I am in no way a doll expert, my first doll is a 100 cm cheap doll bought on Ebay nearly 2 years ago (but though i knew nothing about dolls at that time and did many mistakes she didn't sart to tear after a few fun sessions).
I have been learning on TDF for a while now as i didn't join immediately and i think that i have the essential knowledge about what to do
or not to do with a TPE doll. I've read carefully Indigo20's post on doll care with mineral oil, (and many, many others) and on my dolls' arrival, i followed the protocole of the TPE Honeymoon guide for new doll owners.
Desirée is non standing so i store her in my bed with foam under her back and thighs while Hope stands on a pillow, both in the closest possible position as when out of the mold.

- I am 55 years old (1m68 for 62 kg) so you'll understand that i am not having fun with my 37 kg babes 3 times a day, seven days a week.
I already said in this thread i'm average in size down there. (No Anung, no right hand of doom, sorry to break the myth  )

- I posted pics of what is the most obvious, but both my dollies have other minor tears (armpits, under and between breast, arms, knees feet...).

- I did powder Désirée, the 1st one with cocoa but not Hope as i now use food colorant to color the corn scratch.
Anyway i don't think Beetlejuice has something to do with that situation.

Yes, Jeff will make things right as he is a goodheart and caring person but i don't think it's fair on him.

My point is that manufacturers SHOULD not send any perticular soft or new TPE to a customer when he didn't ask for it, without even asking him first !
Jeff told me Désirée was made of new rebound TPE and i don't even know what have been used for the replacement doll, Hope who is much softer.
Guinea pigs, yes sir !

2nd thought is that maybe this type of very soft TPE is ok with thin dolls like the new VM 157 but it seems it might not be suitable for thick dolls like the 152 ?

And yes, i'm thinking about a thread on the WM page, not because i want to try to attempt to their reputation (everyone makes mistakes) but because i think they must be informed of such issues.

I'm going to try to upload a video to show the softness of the breast, don't know if it will work.

Best wishes.

Hi Nouchi ,
I do apologise for any remarks I previously made when I didn't know everything there was to know and from here on and for the baseball bat comment especially that was not very gentlmenly of me to write such a thing.

I will be more careful and considerate before commenting on any subject especially a sensitive subject as this one.
Again please except my deepest apologies Nouchi.

Best Wishes

The thing is that manufacturers reserve the right to change and or substitute materials and ingredients in their products to improve it or their bottom line whatever the case may be.

With that said, legitimate companies have research and development that insures the product is safe and of quality. Doesn't seem to have been the case here.

I don't see one in the WM Dolls forum. Maybe there ought to be?
