Hmm... maybe this will help?
Sit in front of your computer screen.
Hold one finger up, along the front of your nose, from brow to tip (between your eyes).
When you focus on your finger - you should see two computer screens.
When you focus on the computer screen - you should see two fingers.
(*Somewhere between these two focal points is where the magic happens.)

You can use this process/technique to adjust the focus of your eyes (going cross-eyed, or the opposite) enabling you to see two of everything - one image from each eye. When you get the two photos (on your screen) to overlap each other perfectly, things in the photo should seem to 'pop' out from the picture, creating artificial depth-perception (which can be exaggerated by shooting the photos from slightly different angles).

Basically, you focus your eyes for something far away, while looking at something close to you... or, you focus on something close to you, while looking at something farther away.

I hope that helps - it makes for a pretty cool effect, once you get the hang of it.

I do believe Jen just gasped, giggled, and blushed, all at the same time.

Evidently I'm too spastic to make it work. My eyes wont let the two photos become one. I still enjoyed looking at them though!!

I have a fictional job of Senior Fellow at the International Centre for Synthetik Living. The ICSL specializes in advocacy related works on behalf of artificial ladies (and gents!) around the world. I was previously assigned to the Doll Protective Services division, but currently do mostly outreach and consultative work. For an imaginary job it pays quite well, and I find the work gratifying.

Thanks for asking! 8)

Great 3D effect.
I can relax my eyes to see the 3D effect but can't quite get it in focus.
A long time ago I created a couple of 3D anaglyph images for the old style red/blue 3D glasses.
I started up Dolls in 3D but didn't get any takers.
I guess not to many people have the glasses anymore.
My pair came in a National Geographic that had pictures from the Mars rover.

Thanks,
scooter

Well, I still have a hard time making it work. I did get it for just a second with the finger on the nose thing. lol. But, I look at it like this - twice as many pics of Jen! lol

(For what it's worth, I think the problem for me is that my left eye doesn't focus correctly and my right eye does. Sort of a semi-permanent double vision in my left eye.)

You know... as I look at these pictures and appreciate the recent upgrades, I realize that I've just made my life a lot more difficult... because now I can see every little wrinkle in her clothing, and every hair that's out of place, and I also just realized that she's not wearing her MF eyelids, and I have no idea where they are.

I'm going to have to start ironing, learning to style/cut hair, apply makeup better... What have I gotten myself into? lol. I never really noticed all of these little details before, but now they're hard to ignore.

Oh, good grief!

I've only had my doll for 16 days and feel like I can relate to this.

I'm doomed.

I never really noticed those little details either.
It doesn't matter really. Technical perfection doesn't always make a great photo but yours have a whole lot of heart and soul.
That and Jen's beauty shine through and that's what makes these great.

PS. I can't get my eyes to work on the stereo shots so a good compromise for me would be a stereo shot with a full size regular shot.
And......I love those passport style shots with the 50mm.

I agree wholeheartedly with Mondoon! Sharp focus doesn’t always mean a great photo! It’s the composition and style that makes the photo. I’ve found quick handheld shots sometimes work a hell of a lot better than using a tripod! They seem to capture the moment better - as indeed you do with some of your great shots!

By the way, is your mini first or second generation?

Cheers, Hollows.
