On May 12, I had the opportunity to do a show for a friend's 25 year anniversary special.
I have done paid shows before, but this was the MOST important one of my life.
In fact, I was up to 2AM the morning before deciding how exactly my quick introduction trick would be done.
Pretty insane since the intro is only about 40 seconds long!
Normally, after doing my introduction, my first trick is a card trick, but after doing the rope trick over and over again, I felt comfortable doing this trick first.
Above is not from the show, but was taped by my friend Crystal.
Before doing the trick, I state, " I am not an illusionist, but even if I was most people do not even know what an illusion is so it does not even matter. "After asking a couple people for their definition, I reply , "To me an illusion is something you see with your very own eyes though you know in your mind it is physically impossible to happen much like when David Copperfield made the statue of liberty disappear. Now, I can not tell you where the statue went but he was wearing long sleeves and trench coat and this looked awfully suspicious to me!"
I then turn sideways and walk keeping my right arm by my left leg.
I mention how unlike most magicians I will allow to examine the props....he ropes are not gaffed in any way and the only thing that makes them different is their lengths. I then give one piece out to a lady ( all sitting close together) and then say, "If you think I gave you the short piece of rope, medium piece of rope, or long piece of rope for any particular reason, please feel free to mingle."
The ladies normally will exchange the ropes....so I replied, " leave it to a woman" then take the ropes back and....
Please note it will take awhile to load.

There were five blondes and one brunette holding onto a rope off the edge of a cliff.
But their rope could only bear the weight of of five people.
The brunette said, "Save yourselves. I'll let go."
Impressed by her sacrifice, all of the blondes clapped...
