Wow, very impressive! The way the head and eye movements and blinking come together create a very realistic effect. It's quite impressive to see the beautiful Yolanda face come to life!

DS Robotics are doing some great work.

Absolutely brilliant

But I'd like to see her able to give more of a smile. I thought the original head was able to do so more than we see here?

Hi Harem,

The doll videos that we are releasing are more of a snapshot for amusement and to increase exposure and interest. Nearer to the time of launch DS will release an official video to show everything that the Robotic Head will do.

In the meantime these are short clips showing how much fun can be had and how much we have to come!

Willendorph, I always look forward to them too. We always have a good laugh here on a Friday when we see what the guys at DS have been up to next!

Launch date estimate?

Also hoping my doll avatar will come be compatible with this technology. Its one of the S-Makeup faces.

Hi AhMyDolless,

We are hoping for a release around September, with the retail rollout being Q4 of the year.

Love your avatar! We think that there will be a number of faces become available and even if not at first, a range of compatible silicone 'masks' will be coming shortly after the release of the first generation of the Robotic Head which will be based upon Yolanda.

We are not sure that the 'masks' will be S Level Make Up compatible due to the processes involved in the application of the S Level Make Up, however it is not ruled out.

I have a technical question.

Will the end user be able to modify the dolls facial expressions by way of an app or software interface program? In such a case can you basically create a one program routine set where she blinks her eyes faster or slower than another program? Basically create one set where you can make collection of her movements be as smooth or not so smooth as you'd like; or will she have basically one or a few general movement/facial speeds?
