Is there a search filter?

Post by pdesmondb »

Hi. I am trying to search for something in a manufacturer's subforum but I cannot find a search filter option. Even if I go into their forum, and search, it shows results from every subforum on the website. Is there a way I can search in a specific subforum (manufacturer's page)?

Go to Advanced Search, and select the particular manufacturer

How do I find the Advanced Search? I don't see the option anywhere.

The Advanced Search button is hiding in plain sight, up there on the top right of every page, next to the Chat and Members buttons. :turn-l:

Well, I feel stupid.. I still don't see it. Only the regular search. The regular search doesn't have the advanced options.
Here's what I see:

Are you using Microsoft Edge? I was having similar problems when I was using it as it wouldn't allow the complete page to download and would only show parts of posts. I soon began using Chrome and haven't had any more problems.
No matter how pretty she is, there is a guy out there somewhere who is tired of her shit!

Girlfriends are for guys who haven't found the right doll yet.

I feel much better now that I've given up hope.

I am using Chrome on desktop, but I just checked on my phone (on Chrome) and I can see the Advanced Search, but not on my computer. Weird..

Maybe it has to do with my ad blocker or something. I'm not on my computer so I can't check.

This is weird, never seen that.

pdesmondb, can you please tell us some more details:
  • OS (please don't say "Windows", please be a little more precise if possible :D )
  • exact version of Chrome
  • display resolution
  • Chrome in full screen or windowed?
  • What happens when you resize your Chrome window
  • What happens when you zoom your Chrome window (Ctrl mouse-wheel up/down, Ctrl-0 to reset). Does the "Advance Search" show up?

Lucia (Passiondolls 160cm Muscle Doll) - introduction and photos

Hi. I found out what the problem was.

I am using Chrome (on my PC) and I increased the font size in the Chrome Settings slightly (for easier reading), and for some reason, that makes the "Advanced Search" option disappear. When I make the font size smaller, it appears where it should be. It seems there is limited space in that top right menu and if I make the font bigger, it takes up more space and disappears.

Oddly, I noticed that if I zoom into the page (ctrl+mouse wheel), the "Advanced Search" appears again, but disappears when I zoom out.

Now that you mention it, in your screen shot the font size is indeed bigger than usual.
There is indeed a limited space in that area. All buttons on the right side must fit into 457 pixels. It's an old table design, you can see it in the source code.
