New owner question about maintenance

Post by duradaka »

Hello TDF, new owner here with a concern about maintenance. I got my new doll, 140cm A-Cup model, on Monday and bathed and powdered her once a day since. There are a few areas where there are white specks and residue build ups (noticeably on her thighs) that won't go away. After her third bath today it seems like this white residue appears on new spots on her body such as the stomach. Is this normal for a new doll or I am doing something wrong?

Hmmmmm, can you possibly post some pictures? We would be much better equipped to help you out if we could see what we're dealing with! Is it just residue from the powder? And are you using cornstarch powder or regular baby powder? This can happen if you put too much powder on her. But it's a very simple fix if you just dab her in those areas with a very lightly damp clean rag.

Oh, and I see you're a newbie, so welcome!
And I think you can post pics after you have posted 5 times with moderator approval! So just 4 more to go for you!

Hi duradaka. > Welcome <

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles. At first it sounded to me like the powder was clotting up due to moisture. You have to wait until she's completely dry before applying powder or it will just make a mess.

But, it sounds like you've gone through enough cycles that you would have noticed the residue wipe off when you washed her next.. so I'm at a loss. If what you're describing is actual damage(?), then you should contact the vendor immediately.

Just to clarify, you purchased from RLSD?

I will also concur with Seattle here! If you put the powder on too soon before she is completely dry, it can clump up and leave white marks! But like he said, they should just wash right off!

Yes, I purchased her from RLSD and used the premium renewal powder from the care kit. I applied the powder right after drying her off with a towel so maybe that's why it's clotting up? I already contacted RLSD costumer care (haven't gotten a response back yet) but wanted some insight from the forum users. I'll try washing her again tomorrow and then applying the powder much later.

Yeah, I bet that's all it is. I'd let her dry for a couple of hours before powdering.

You may find the powder that came with your lady is just scented corn starch. I use corn starch with perfume misted into it. Makes her smell nice!
Corn starch in a plastic container, mist perfume in it a few times... go nuts or go easy. Let the stuff absorb, next time you powder she's smellin' great...
Of course I read this tip on TDF here, and just passing it on. It works!!

As it is said, too much of anything is usually not good. (Oil treating-Powder) Moderation wins at the end of the day!!
I hate the dusty powder truthfully, but it's necessary for curing the sticky skin on TPE after washing.

Have Fun & Enjoy!!

i dont think you need to wash her everyday. i Usually wash mines as soon as she begins to feel tacky/ sticky. wash her then Make sure She's Completely dry before dusting her with baby powder. no blow drying. water and Baby powder will cause almost like a mud type junk. The 140CM is an awesome doll!!! good luck!
