It's when you treat people like freaks that you become one yourself.
Therapy is expensive. Popping bubble plastic is cheap. You choose!

there are quite a few as ball jointed dolls though
I have about 50 ball jointed dolls all from Korea - not as expensive and if you are talking Iplehouse then both males and females are very life-like and all are anatomatically correct, even the younger ones.

I have a web site which badly needs updating now that I always use photographic backdrops. My background is theater wardrobe and I have dressed all my dolls, painted their faces and in many cases i have also made some wigs. The guys are 70 cm tall and the girls are 65 cm.

But here are a few photos

Hi charon77,

first a warm welcome to TDF from me :)

the photos are really impressive! As I understand you tailor all the outfits yourself? That is a lot of great work!

I've got a couple of those on the way myself! I've still got another month at least till they arrive though T_T Iplehouse and Soom are the only 2 bjd companies that I know of that make male dolls with nice muscular builds. Most bjd guys are thin and frail looking.

Iplehouse EID:

Soom 72cm Idealian:

Soom Mega Gem:

I have several Iplehouse EIDs and SIDs and three Soom Idealians plus a couple of Gems including the Egyptian Ender, But other companies are coming up with great bodies too. I have a clothing association with Bishonen House - probably the first 'men' with super muscles.

And I have a Granado Chaka on order - he is in 'chocolate' dark brown resin.

I have Real Doll Nate on order too and so I have promised to buy no more BJDs for at least two years. Can't see that happening though.

Thanks. My background was theater wardrobe but now I am retired I spend my days on 1/3rd size clothes.

My current project is a male ballet costume for my 'Carols Acosta' doll who is the latino guy above wearing the red gingham shirt. He arrived here a blank canvas so I have painted his face and made his mohair hard cap wig. Latinos are hot.

Those clothes REALLY are fantastic. I envy you!

That's a nice paint job. That mean that you bought the others pre-painted? I usually prefer to do the painting myself, but I reaaaally love Iplehouse's makeup so I did buy my dolls with their faceups.
