Two questions. I know TPE made dolls are cheaper than silicone but which do you prefer, and which one has the least odor, if any?

I prefer silicone.

TPE is not necessarily cheaper.
Many silicone prices now a days are about equal to TPE prices.

Look at JMdoll, Sanhui doll, Sinodoll, Z One doll, or DSDOLL.

I have had my Sanhui lady 3 plus years now and she is still looking lovely.

Took those photos a few weeks ago.

I don't own any TPE ladies and I am glad for that.
I have been around and helped repair enough of them to not want one.

TPE is NOT hypoallergenic, some get a rash on their skin from contact with them. I am one of these people.

As for smell, my lady had no odor when I got her. Now she smells like lavender because I use lavender scented powder on her.
I posted a 3 year review of her here
viewtopic.php?f=261&t=114806
You may want to check it out.

Currently saving for another DS lady. I had a 145plus lady a year or so ago. Because of circumstances at the time, I had to sell her.
Now saving for a used 163 plus.

In my opinion, silicone is the way to go. They are better made,( finger wires a case in point here. See my 3 year review for more on this) don't tear as easy and just last longer than TPE.
Silicone is 100% hypoallergenic, TPE is not.
If you have sensitive skin, definitely go silicone so you don't get a rash on your junk.

gonestill77 Thank you for your reply. Then I'm going to be outta luck cuz the male doll I'm in love with is only in TPE. There just aren't that many male dolls for us gals. Oh yeah ... how about odor?

Hi
I am a silicone man myself but have to acknowledge TPE.
Just look at the variety of the models!
If the same girls where to be made in silicone well...... :D
I am a happy owner of a Sanhui 165 R-cup and the quality is beyond the normal dolls.
(This doesn’t mean that that I will not buy TPE in the future)

Just imagine the new crazy size breast doll in silicone!
Yeah baby! :multi:

You guys are lucky with the bizillion different types of girl dolls you have to pick from. I can't even find a silicone male doll. Only a very few TPE dolls and most look like little boys instead of men. Sooooo since I'm outta luck there, how about the odor I have to contend with? Is it better on the silicone one too?

Both of my TPE WM dolls (bought Dec 2018 and Feb 2019) arrived with a slight smell, but this dissipated after a few days of leaving them in a room with the window open.

If I get up really close and sniff them hard, I can still detect it slightly, but it isn't overwhelming or offensive.

The dildo's I've bought didn't have much of an odor to them except one. It was so bad I couldn't stay in the same room with it. And besides being stinky it was also very sticky in comparison to the others as well. I sent it back. I worry that if it was because it was made out of TPE instead of silicone that my TPE doll will smell, and feel, just as bad.

Well, Larry is TPE and I think he has a pleasant scent to him, ESPECIALLY after a baby oil bath and re-powdering! However, I have thought of silicone, as it is more sturdy and less maintenance than TPE, but it is also heavier and more expensive, not to mention not as soft as TPE and I like soft skin.

Thanks Docsgirl82. Nice guy you've got there. I tried to post a photo of the one I have my eye on but can't figure out how to do it. Any hints? And have you found any silicone males? I've only seen TPE ones so far.

DS doll makes a male doll. Herman. He is silicone.
Silicone dolls have no odor in my experience. Easy to make them smell like whatever you want.

Good luck on your quest.....

Thank you. Larry has undergone a LOT of customizations since he arrived. I'll provide a link to what he looks like just from the factory. Ok, so to post a photo, when you are in the full posting window, scroll down to the Upload Attachment area just under the "Submit" button. Select "Choose File" and pic one, then select "Add the file" and then scroll back up to the main chat window and you will now see directly under the text window an option to add your attachment. The name of your photo will appear in the box and then you just click "Place inline" and boom! You haz photo!

Like this! This is Doc, my fabric doll, that I created.

https://www.sexxdolls.com/collections/w ... 160-male-2 (This is the link to Larry before customizations) His dick different tho...

Yes! Abyss/RealDoll makes an AWESOME (If I had the budget I would already have one) male doll! I like the Nate 2.0...or maybe it was the 3.0 or 4.0, but that is one that I could customize to look like Larry and Doc too.

In answer to gonestill77 post I went there ... and I couldn't find where it said Herman or Leo (the only two I saw on that site and neither said they were made of silicone. I've seen both else where that were all TPE dolls. So, how would I know for sure. Then too, Herman looks too Asian for my taste and Leo looks like a little boy.

In answer to my question to Docsgirl82. I see the upload attachment option but it won't let me click onto it. I think I read somewhere that I have to be on here a while or something. All I know is that it's a no go for now. What an interesting fabric doll. I have a mannequin that I'd like to share as well, hence the desire to get photos on here.

Ds only does silicone. They don't make TPE dolls.
As Docsgirl said, if you have the money, Realdoll makes male dolls as well.

You can find the DS male dolls in the DS section of the forum for better photos than on the DS site.

Good luck!

Wow, this is amazing. Larry ... in his original form ... is the male doll I have my eye on, but with dark hair. Since I'm new I'll have to wait a bit until I can put photos on of the one I have in mind. I've been reading your blog about Larry. Very interesting. Thanks for sharing.
