I will second that - not many dolls have had the good fortune to fall on their feet (standing or otherwise!) after a change of ownership. Pippa lived on in glorious style while she was with Harem!

she can stand on her feet perfectly well btw (good ankles)...she just needs protection for the tpe. The plate is actually quite good imo. Had mine standing without damage since she arrived.

Well actually, no. Kimber doll has no hinges in her ankles. There are only wires there. The wires will collapse with standing for any length or time or repeatedly. Best don't . . .

Many members have good knowledge of dolls but this is an example where having seen a goodly number I know what I'm looking at and what to look for. It's for this reason that some manufacturers consult me for advice and why people can rely on what I say if I say that a doll is good. This path was actually set by Pippa giving me quite a steep learning curve about doll construction. It was as a result of the noise I made about her defects that caused the manufacturer to upgrade quality of design and construction and then assist when a friend was being taken for a ride by a disreputable manufacturer.

I still wonder who made the German Wikipedia page for sex dolls with your doll and why the person doesn't even seem to know about the manufacturers. The "steep learning curve about doll construction" from DS? is not like a Realdoll which I'm a happy owner of now.

Your doll looks fine and I would also like to own one of that kind but I wouldn't trade her for a Realdoll which she is called on Wikipedia for whatever reason after knowing of all of the issues with these kind of dolls I read on the forums…..

I did this because before there was the most horrible photo of a sexual monstrosity which was capable of causing derision in the consideration of sex dolls. I can't find the original photo but it was a figure of cartoonesque proportions which anyone seeking to want self confirming opinions about the nature of enthusers of sexdolls would reinforce prejudices. So I sought to change the photo. I wonder if my photo has been a surreptitious influence in places of totalitarian "religious" regimes removing the ability of such prejudiced and freedom restricting regimes to justify prejudice against sexdolls.

I wonder if this photo on the wikipedia pages might have changed opinions worldwide about sexdolls over the past five years for the better?

To my knowledge the following language pages don't carry my photo. I just joined the forum this week and have been reading through the new member introductions, and I just wanted to tell you how inspiring your story was. My feeling towards these dolls and relationships in general are much the same as yours. One thing that both surprises and relieves me about this community is how little misogyny you find in these posts: less, I'd say, than you tend to find in the wider internet in general.

I'm still preparing to get my first doll, and while the sex is a part of it, like you, I enjoy photography and visual art, and can't wait to use her as a model. I've lived in a boring town for the past few years where there's not much to inspire me to dig out my old camera equipment, but the prospect of a lifelike doll model is getting the old wheels turning again.

ps: does Thera have notions of becoming the next Josephine Baker?

It takes a brave manufacturer to send me a doll. Today I examined a prototype. This was my report:

There are some minor things. She survived her journey but the packaging was not strong enough and one end of the box was broken and open. The layers of padding should be double the thickness perhaps, and another layer beneath the lid, and possibly a stronger box. She had moved from end to end to her neck was bent but with no damage luckily. Other companies use shaped packaging over the shoulders and bridging over her legs.

The feet studs with rounded heads are excellent. The heel stud however is a ground-down nut and has sharp edges. It would be good if this was a domed head protrusion, or perhaps one might be able to put a plastic cap on the heel nut. It's sharp and so will damage wood floors. One of them had machine-shop dirt or grease on it and this had spread as a black mark under the foot.

The eyes aren't sparkling. I guess that spray from the make-up process has got onto them. It will probably scratch off but perhaps the eyes should be inserted after makeup in order to avoid this, or covered by a removable plastic layer.

The head connector system needs revisiting. The screw mounting screws into the head. This can come undone and allow the head then to rotate freely. When the head rotates freely the head silicone snags on the body silicone and the silicone at the back of the head on the neck is thin and can tear. I think friction is intended to be made by the rubber washer on the mount but this needs to be larger if effective, and the thread on the body part of the mounting isn't fully threaded so doesn't provide much grip. This is a problem other manufacturers have faced and is not easy to get perfect. I had difficulty posing the heads on account of free-rotation, and if used in bed the doll would end up with the head completely backwards without difficulty.

The form of the sculpture is excellent. Very sexy and elegant.

The height of your doll is XXX so she really should be designated XXX rather than YYY. She's just under 40kg.

The position of the vagina is correct when standing up. But in a sexual position, with the legs forward as in sitting down, the vagina is to far forward, high up, and with the legs at 90 degrees, the vagina is around 4 inches, 10cm, too far back so if the male penis is 6 inches only the forward 2 inches could reach into the vagina. Either the legs need to be further apart, not natural and bad for the silicone, or brought up further towards the breasts. The anus is accessible from the front and I don't think this is how most people view missionary sex. The anus needs to be 2 inches at least further backwards, more between the buttocks and the angle is wrong. It should be directed at around 30 to 45 degrees into the back of the doll rather than parallel to the spine.

Finally, and this is a crucial problem making difficult or preventing me from taking good posing photographs, and even potentially if one were intending sex from achieving it. The joints are unevenly tight. The right leg is about the right tension whilst the left leg is so tight it cannot be moved without the mid-back joint moving instead, and is so tight it's really difficult to move at all. Not only is this a function-killer, whether for sex use in bed or photo-posing, but joints that tight can lead to breakages of the joints entirely.

So all of these things need attention before you have dissatisfied customers.

When I can review a doll and post that it's superb, it's because I look for all these issues and mean superb, not just because a manufacturer might have sent me a doll.

With the doll in question, however, the breasts are completely superb so it's really a work in progress with significant promise.
