Re: New TDF member
as I said in my introduction, I will take my time with preparing Sonya step by step for her future photo shootings, beginning with the head.
After installing MannequinFan's eyes, I just finished the next step (coloring teeth and a descreet make-up)
@Dollarhyde:
I purchased some white acrylic paint for the teeth, but there was no success. After the paint dried, it cracked, because the paint is not flexible enough for the soft TPE material. Then I cleaned the teeth, used white permanent marker and it was o.k.
After the teeth the makeup is done now. I did it with a "less is more" attitude.
Today the afternoon sun was so nice, that I made some head shots of her (still with my cheap camera) to show the difference between then (factory condition) and now:
Next step will be wigs, some jewelry and most important, new clothes. The poor girl has only the well known pink nightie, that came with the delivery from WM.

Re: New TDF member
And this is great looking results! Thanks for the tip on using the marker instead of the acrylic for teeth. I´m currently at the same stage with my recently purchased doll so highly interested on those techniques. Since I´m also located in germany, you having a special recommendation for permanent markers, especially from Amazon?Aralor wrote:Hello guys,

What MF eye set did you chose and how long took delivery?
thanks in advance
PS: You could also PM me in german directly.
Re: New TDF member
I used Edding 750 white paint marker for coloring the teeth:
You will get this marker in nearly every stationery shop. Only use a small amount of paint. Before the paint dries, use your finger or a cotton swab to disperse it over the teeth area, so the teeth will not be too white and lustrous at the end..
Ordering the MF eyes is a little bit complicated. You can read all about it in this MF thread:

If you have additional questions about it, send me a PM.

Ah, another victim. There are a long line of them here, and rightfully so, Mandos take a mean photo.Aralor wrote:So I'm another "victim" of his excellent photography.
