Hello! I've long wanted a life-sized doll and I'm hoping to buy one within the next few days. So, I'll be relying on you all for guidance and advice.

I am 39 years old and am essentially a live-in nurse for my father (who has grown feeble with age). I am also a published science-fiction author and poet. Please to meet you.

Welcome Anayel, know how you feel, also a carer for a parent. Can be a tough lonely life. Any questions feel free to ask, lots of good advice here, or if you need a chat feel free to pm when you have hit 5 posts, caring for parents can be a damn hard job.

I feel for you. My second unofficial unpaid job is a caretaker for my ex girlfriend who lives with me and became disabled. She has no other family or friends. They won't even visit her 2 miles away. She pees the bed 3-4 times a day. Yesterday she even peed in the car. I use bed pads that usually work, but the coverage is limited. Diapers don't work for her because her volume exceeds their capacity.

She is the main reason why I switched to dolls and is a reminder everyday why to stick with them. If only my favorite dolls were designed before I met her...

Thank you, everyone. I managed to come up with the financing for my doll and I have ordered her! But, I am not sure what model she is, and, owing to forum guidelines, I cannot link you all to images (while she represents an adult in miniature, I could see how someone might determine otherwise due to her height and slight build). I can say that she is an IronTech doll and 132cm.

Right, so, I have a question! I've been hunting around for a dedicated guide on washing one's dolls, but I haven't been able to locate anything.

Does such a guide exist? If not, how do you go about washing your dolls?

If a new irontech then oiling should not be necessary. Just a good clean and then a powder.
