I just found this forum the other day after having heard about it (I think in a news article) a while back. I was glad I found it before I made any ill-conceived purchases!
My original interest was sparked by a t.v. segment about Harmony, the yet to be released A.I. robot, but gradually I began to appreciate the different qualities of dolls. I have a million questions, but for the purposes of this post, I'll leave it there.

Thanks for all the welcomes, for sure. After considerable research and considering all the variables (including my budget for the purchase) I opted for a QITA "Ciara" doll, with tan skin and blue eyes. Hopefully here before mid-December. I know it is a lesser known brand but I get the feeling they are on their way up. I hope I'm right. I don't expect her to be a RealDoll but neither does my bank account, and I'm crossing my fingers that the value proposition is there.
