Re: Make up tips
Wouldn´t a permanent marker solve the problem?
Of course you need a steady hand when applying it, but it should work!
Comes in many colors and works on rubber and plastic:

I've been thinking the same thing myself.sture wrote:I´ve been thinking about this subject and one question that always comes into my mind is:

Has anyone tried this before?

Re: Make up tips
I used one when doing the stain removal tests on some sample pieces of TPE that BD had sent to me.

Re: Make up tips
Hey T'Bolt! Did you notice any seepage/bleeding/smearing after a few days? I've thought about doing a "bleed test" on the bottom of Naomi's (my 125cm) foot to see if there is any longer term fading/smearing/seepage.Thndrrbolt wrote:I can tell you for a fact that permanent marker DOES adhere well to TPE with no apparent adverse effects.

Re: Make up tips
I found that the liquid lip gloss did not stick to the lips very well. I used the lipstick and applied it with a Q-Tip. Soak a Q-Tip in baby oil to clean up smudges and outlines, and if the lipstick seems to start to "cake" the baby oil smooths it out. I let it set for awhile (an hour?) then applied a very light bit of baby powder to set. It doesn't come off during kissing and looks good.
I just freehand the eyebrows with the eyebrow pencil. Again, baby oil on a Q-Tip cleans up mistakes, then powder to lock it in. I have seen a few posts on how to do more detail, so I am still learning in that regard.
Also, for attaching eyelashes I use these. I used Gorilla Glue Super Glue and the glue does not stick to the toothpick. Use a VERY thin layer of glue. The brush end works great to comb out the eyelashes when you are done attaching them.
Thanks to all of you for your helpful tips and advice! TDF is THE one-stop resource for answers.
In practice, there is.

Re: Make up tips
Awaiting my first doll to arrive hopefully in a few weeks! Shes a TPE JY Doll.
I have got makeup for her already, but just a question on safe removal of makeup?
I have seen that many suggest make-up wipes, will any brand of these do? or are some brands dangerous to the TPE?
Thanks

Re: Make up tips
Tempera Paints are non-toxic...and seemed to be perminant...
so my thinking is a complete tan including bikiini line...with the air-brush.
any ideas how that would work or am i blazing a new frontier...lol

Re: Make up tips
Don't use wipes, they contain alcohol (unless on silicone, perfectly fine then). Dab (literally) of baby oil on a microfiber cloth or cotton bud for TPE.KittyLove wrote:Hi All!

Nothing is permanent on TPE...not even TPE based paints/. TPE does not stick to itself so eventually will peel off. As for airbrushing, be careful of bleed, TPE is a porous material.Tempera Paints are non-toxic...and seemed to be perminant...

Re: Make up tips
as always best greetings and thanks...i just recently found out about the bleeding, you mentioned when i went to test a nipple stencil...looked nothing like it was meant to...lol
something i haven't seen mentioned, that works and adds a nice smell to process, is coconut oil.
has to be the real stuff, and here recently it's available in food grade.
