the year 2018 is nearing it's end. Since I don't know if I will be around in a couple of weeks, I'm posting the annual stats today.

This are Dollstudio's most popular dolls in 2018:

For the U.S. site - targeted at customers in North America and outside the EU (us.dollstudio.org):

All top 4 dolls are made of TPE. On rank #4 the only silicone doll follows, Doll Sweet's amazing ›Evo‹ which - for me - is also the best doll in 2018.

All top 5 dolls are made of TPE.


At Dollstdio, the dolls from the group around Doll House 168, Doll Forever and Piper Doll are obviously popular. Interestingly, they are more popular than those from brands manufacturing at Jinsan.

Also notable is that interest in silicone dolls is marginal. The the U.S. site, the only silicone doll is ranked at #10, at the EU site #5 and #11, and at the DE site #8 and #9. The only price-competitive silicone alternative to TPE is Z-Onedoll; their dolls show up only at rank #9 on the DE site. I think they deserve better, but page view access stats illustrate what people are researching.

Another marginalized product group are fabric dolls. They can be life-sized, they are lightweight, and they can even come with a realistic silicone head. And they can stand on their own feet by default without bolts. Since the Happy Doll brand is not listed on TDF, this could indicate that referrals from TDF skew these stats - or it could mean that fabric/plush dolls are niche product. None of the Happy Dolls shows up on any of the Dollstudio sites among the top 15.


And last but not least, this are the most popular Doll Sweet dolls.

The top 3 ranks are classical silicone dolls, then the EX-lite (PUR) follows; on rank #5 Doll Sweet's ›Evo‹ follows.


These figures are based on untampered page view access stats, so this is real data covering all brands Dollstudio respectively DS Doll Europe was carrying in 2018, except the brands with suspendeded sales (most notably JY Doll, 6Ye Premium, and Sanhui). The top ranked dolls have 3k-7k page views per site, so these stats are statistically rather meaningful. Since at Dollstudio, all is about greatest possible transparency, this data is publicly accessible at our sites at all times.

Very interesting indeed.

Silicone needs a higher profile.

Z-One sharing the same silicone as Sino-Doll should be much higher on people's radar.

Sanhui and JM are excellent contenders too.

Yeah, pitfalls of data entry. Some Doll Sweet specs are without head. I'm using now two fields, one with and one without head. And there would have to be a third one (real body height, something between 164 and 166 cm, depending on the head).
