Need some advice from knowledgeable doll enthusiast...
their site is very vague on pricing and comparison of their products.
also, what is the head made of and how do they compare with Teddybabes.
if anyone can give me some advice and info that would be greatly appreciated....

The head is hard, though I'm not at all sure what they are made from. The body is a textile body with a nylon over-skin to give a more seamless finish (not totally seamless), I feel the Textile Doll body is a little more realistic than the teddybabes as well, but the overskin can move about a little, so is crooked seams make you mad, you'll be forever straightening them out (the above were observations made by "Kate Kane" a Textile Doll owner at the European Doll Meet one year when she had just received hers)
The pricing on the site is vague because every one is made to order and Yuri makes sure he knows exactly what you want before quoting for the doll.
Hope that helps a little.

These dolls come in different sizes hence custom pricing depending on what you want.Juncharted2 wrote:Just wondering if anybody has any experience with a company called Textile Dolls. Textiledoll.com

Hi Juncharted2.Juncharted2 wrote:actually its about both
Karrots post is a good summary. I myself have both a textile doll (165cm) and a Teddybabe deluxe so can maybe add something further.
A Textile doll has a skeleton that offers a good range of movement- she can stand and be posed. TBD has a minimal skeleton and is not easy to pose and personally I don't believe the skeleton is suitable for repeated bending of joints, so I don't do it with mine.
A Textile doll has a realistic looking head. TBD - it's not so - but somehow they win your affection despite that and it has the advantage of being permanently attached. A Textile doll can be made to fit your personal preferences regarding shape. TBD - you are limited to the 2 models.
The TBD simple skeleton, the way they are filled, the fact the head is integrated, plus the soft skin like feel of the plush fabric makes for a better cuddle experience in my opinion.
Hope this helps and good luck with making your choice! Alternatively, take the easy route and have both
