black dots on newly bought WM TPE doll

Post by Dummz »

Hello everyone !

I got a few black spots on my newly bought doll. It's on the body and head.
They are nothing major but i want to know if it is troubling or if it is normal. (I hope it is not mold ?)

The dots seem to be inside the skin and not the surface so cleaning with a bit of soap and water didn't do much.

(Looks like i can't upload pictures of it yet, i need 5 posts right?)

Diagnosis without pictures is difficult, but I will try it anyway. AFAIK WM uses some kind of black grease for the neck bolt. Maybe they were a little bit clumsy in using it and a few drops hit the doll. Your description sounds, like it was already absorbed by the TPE. If my guess is right, than you have to wait until it vanishes on it own. (Can take a few months in the worst case.)
However it may be something completely different. Most stains are removable with mineral oil (baby oil).

My theories may change, when you upload your images.

Trying to clean it did not make it worse? as in spreading, making it bigger? I'm thinking if it were grease, it may spread some. If mold, try a drop of hydrogen peroxide on it. be gentle in any case, do not want to damage skin.
It may just vanish on its own...

It’s a freckle, mole, or better, a Beauty mark.
As long as it doesn’t start abnormal growth I wouldn’t worry.

Seriously, it looks like a stain of some sort.
It will fade away over time, or you can ask for them to send you some stain remover.
Bottom line though, I wouldn’t kick a ass that nice out of bed because of a mole!

This looks almost like an ink mark. Get some zapzit. 10% benzoil peroxide peroxide applied, massaged and covered overnight with a wetwipe should remove it

Yeah i think i am a bit over worried about her since she is my first doll.
I like imperfections so it doesn't bother me at all :)

I can relate; i also like imperfections. They add character and keep my "unable to enjoy things" perfectonist side subdued.

All the dolls i like are WM.

More pics!

probably a drip of factory grease. Guess it could be mold, if you live in an extremely humid climate, but you'd think that would have spread quicker. Probably not a problem whatever it is...

but after soap n water, i'd rub some mineral oil into it, sure couldn't hurt.

that's a hella nice ass! took me a minute to see the spot

The tush is too big for me. I prefer it more in proportion.
