Very nice.
It is always something special when they stand on their own.
Just a side note, no critique:
On a few photos her skin colour is unusually light. I think the camera's brightness control sometimes fails on her dark skin. The white balance also seems to be struggling from time to time.

Hi Tsall, thanks, yes the pic in the kitchen yesterday was fun inasmuch I was trying to balance her with a hand on the work top but she was actually balanced well where she stood and seemed quite happy! Of course I didn't leave the room with her like that but it's been a nice surprise to discover just how well the 157b can pose and stand. Yes your right to point out about getting the skin tone right in the shots. I have adjusted a couple with software on the pc but I need to stop being lazy and learn how my camera works! I have a lovely Nikon D3000 but nearly always shoot in auto! I've got myself a book so I just need to read it now! One thing I would say is that the darker Jinsan skin tones can look quite variable depending on the light. Monique has a darker tan tone and can look like she's been sunbathing in some shots and quite pale in others but the biggest contrast is with Shuri as she can look very dark in some shots or a more mellow cocoa colour in others. She was supposed to be the cocoa skin tone when I ordered her but I think the tpe blend came out darker but that suited me as I didn't want her too light as I was hoping for an East African look anyway so as it turned out I think her colouring is spot on!Tsall wrote:I just realized that I've never commented on your new beauty.

This was my favourite shot from our shoot in the garden recently as she has just the look I was hoping to get...

Re: Introducing Shuri Uhura, WM157 B with head 64
Actually I wanted to recommend the use of a gray card for white balance and setting the exposure time. I'm so glad I didn't say anything. At Whitsun I took some photos on the balcony. I soon realized that the correct exposure time under sunlight and partly cloudy weather is much more difficult to set than with indoor shots under artificial light. The light changes from one minute to the next.Arthur1960 wrote:Hi Tsall, thanks, yes the pic in the kitchen yesterday was fun inasmuch I was trying to balance her with a hand on the work top but she was actually balanced well where she stood and seemed quite happy! Your favorite shot is beautifull.
Nice new outfit. It suits her very well.
