Is this ok to use?

Post by jms033 »

I have just regular mineral oil that I bought online, but the only baby oil/mineral oil that I can buy around here is this stuff. Is it ok to use on my doll, or should I stick to the regular mineral oil? Thanks for any input :glou:

It may make your TPE Doll too sticky. I recommend straight baby oil without any additives.

I've been using the same Vitamin E and Aloe baby oil for quite a while & I can't notice that it has damaged anything. It likely won't will hurt because both Vitamin E and Aloe Vera are are absorbed by living organisms, it likely won't help either since TPE is a non living organism. In other words, the "locks in ten times more moisture" statement I would think is negligible.

Vitamin E is a fat soluble and absorbed by lipids which TPE does not have and Aloe is processed as a gelatinous substance possessing an enzyme and contains sugars like polysaccharides that living organisms use.

But I also don't see any benefit to using it either aside from aloe vera being bacteriostatic. Next time I drive out I'm getting the plain mineral oil as everyone else has suggested, but until then I"m going to continue using this until it's gone.

I hadn't noticed the cap. Yes no additives are best.
