Creaking Joints

Guys- I just got my new 157cm doll today. She is terrific, except for a few minor issues. The biggest problem with her is that when I turn or tilt her head, she makes pretty loud creaking sound. It seems like the sound is coming from the joint in her neck area. Is this normal?? Other joints in her body operate smoothly with no creaks. I wonder if there’s a way to fix this?

That's the gooseneck you're hearing. The sound is normal (though maybe not acceptable). The newest skeletons from WM don't use the gooseneck, but it's too new to know if its an improvement or not.

If it just creaks, that is normal. That's the goose neck. You can add oil to the joint to quiet it.

Thanks for the reponses. How do I add oil to the joint? It seems like I have no way of accessing the joint in her neck without cutting into the TPE.

If you remove her head you can gently pull the TPE aside at the connection in her neck without damaging anything. You'll see the gooseneck tube. You can oil inside that tube and around the edge.

Or you can just accept the sound. It will never go away completely anyway. I've learned to live with it myself.

Wait until you get to Pumping her real good, it should be somewhat in sync with the springs in the bed.

My doll isn't a WM doll or tpe, but she creaks a bit too, particularly when we're cuddling and I give her a little extra squeeze. I think of it as her way of making some audible response to my affections.

Well, honestly that’s how I came to realize this creaking issue... I was “pumping” her real good soon after I unboxed her. Lol! The creaking sound took away a bit of magic from the moment. I figure I will need to do something about it.

I’ll try to oil her up as suggested. Thanks for the advice, gents

Do what you can, or what you want to. But don't judge her harshly. She's trying to make you happy. If she makes odd sounds during sex.... well, who doesn't? LOL

Oil really helps to alleviate this problem.

Personally i injected a bit of vaseline along the neck in three places with a Barbecue meat syringe and gave her a good neck massage to spread it evenly like Samara suggested in a another thread. I did it in June this summer and the creaking stopped almost completely, hasn't been bothering me since.

Glad I saw this.

I had been watching doll videos online and have been hearing that creaking noise in some of them. I recently ordered my first doll, and that noise would be a concern for me. I have other people in my home that I do not want to hear it, and later asking for explanations as to what they heard. I have a lube syringe I can use to inject lubricant (Vaseline) or (Baby oil) into the neck.
