Thanks to Zippy81 for reminding me, this afternoon Keiko tried using a couple of different scarfs draped strategically across her body so as not to give the neighbors a heart attack! Unfortunately the scarfs were not as translucent as I would have liked but anyway, we both had fun! ...

Interesting idea with the scarves. I can see what your after.

Why don't you try it again with Keiko in the window area so that the light source is behind her, i.e. back lit.
Then have her hold the scarf up in front or put Keiko sideways with the scarf draped over her. Try to get the light to shine through the material.
You may be able to get a good shadow of Keiko's body on the scarf material, so may be better if she's nude?

Another idea, why not try it in the garden with a back lit low sun. Should be good if you can get some of your garden flowers in the shot too.
Back lit garden ones would be good if she was nude but with the scarf covering her strategically, so it's just a glamour photo - may be more difficult if you have nosy neighbours!!

It all depends on where the sun is at your location when you're photographing, time of day as well.
You may get problems with getting the exposure right but worth experimenting.
There are quite a lot of good examples of this kind of arty glamour shot on the internet, beautiful girl, back lit, usually shot in black and white...

Hi there, yes I do, actually, Keiko stands at 149cm in her socks so she's actually a tad taller than Sarah (yl148). I often stick her in a pair of 2" heel boots which takes her to around 5'. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the WM145 as it has a nice thickness to all the limbs and is curvier than I was expecting.

Hi there djcdoll, thanks some good ideas there. I was conscious that Keiko would be visible from the window so I had to be a little discreet as she didn't have much on! I didn't want to use artificial light and I had missed the good sunlight as the sun had moved around to the back of the house. What you said about doing a shoot like that in the garden will be the way to go, ideally with some late afternoon sun. I shall sort out a spot in the garden that isn't overlooked then go for it so stay tuned! In the meantime I have a few more pics from this afternoon to share.

The photos with different scarfs are beatiful. Good idea.

Nice new dress. But the skirt seems a little to wide at the waist. Maybe you add a small belt?

Thanks Tsall, yes I had a bit of fun with that little photo shoot. Well spotted re the waist in that skirt. Actually it is a perfect fit for Keiko but it was the first time she had worn it and I was a bit wary of any blue from the denim staining her so I loosened the adjustment straps in the waistband so that it wasn't tight. The skirt has been well washed and after 2 days I can't see any staining. Usually with denim I would only keep it on one of my gals long term if she has something else underneath but this skirt should be ok I think, I've been trying to incorporate brighter colours with my gals and it's surprised me how many things have been ok to use. From my experience with staining the worse culprits are anything thats a bit tight like lingerie and especially wig straps.

Thanks Zippy81, actually I've just given her a lovely new pink tarten skirt that fits like a glove and looks really cute, you can see it on my thread that I use for when I have a few of the gals together.
