Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
Good news and bad news...I start with the bad: during the photoshoot I went on doing something else, and while I placed a blanked under her knees nearly the hole time...at some point I forgot, and she grinded a bit over my table :s
When I sat her down, it was kinda shocker and ultimate omg (made such a fail)! when I saw her knees messed up. One has a cut 'to the bone' and another one looks like some scretches / minor porosity, but is also deep. Feel like such a noob hahaha (well I'ma kinda bummed I'd damage her of course, did not pay enough attention and was to rough, but luckily with the legs stretched you don't see much)
Anyway; see first 2 pics below. Is this fixable with TPE glue? And if so (I hope for her) how should I do that?
Now the good news ;p
Today I've met Tatiana, some sort of Russian glamour model, I dunno.
She came wearing this hot red dress and introduced herself:
She's now sitting there waiting like this, so I'll go on chilling a bit more with her Anyone has a clue why this one below gets placed, even tho it is not in my text (here) ?

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
I had that really in my mind some days before, warning you to care of her knees. Don't know why, but thought about that...
This must be really shocking
But it's definitely fixable. You can try some glue, but i doubt, that this would be enough. Because it's not only a cut. Like you said and we see on the pictures its more porous. Did you get additional TPE material?
You could either produce a kind of TPE paste or you can use heat to melt some material (after gluing)
Always a good way to fix it, would be getting the repair kit from Indigo20 http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 2&start=90
Good to see, that these serious throwbacks don't influence your mood
Beside of that, its a really pretty and unique head. Like i was saying before, i'm really glad to see more of those heads here. Really nice red dress too! But be careful with wearing such clothes. RED&BLACK are coming often directly from hell(maybe some kind of doll hell)
Be careful of staining, especially whe she puts some weight on her dress
Looks like you upload this picture twice and don't delete one of them from the uploadsAnyone has a clue why this one below gets placed, even tho it is not in my text (here) ?

Its kind of anoying seing all those new doll shapes appearing, while they are not fixing the most basic skeleton issues.

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
Tho I blame myself for perhaps being to rough, I do find that these things (the knees and elbows, as you mention, and the fingers/hand) are design flaws, which I cannot imagine would cost a fortune to fix...
Babel99 wrote:About the knees, I am complaining about this issue for a year. The issue is that skeleton joints are not covered and the bare metal eat thru the TPE from the inside out. They could fix this by putting some kind of protection (like a plastic ball) covering the articulation to protect the TPE to rub against the joint. So far, some have gaze... Other nothing at all. This would be needed for elbows and knees.

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
Pretty much destroyed my mood for momentarily, but since I'm largely to blame and I cannot stay mad at myself to long, just moved on. But it still definitely sucks!
Also cracked up the vagina btw...also to rough I guess. But for the life of me I cannot understand why that insert has a hole of only about 1.5 cm. Don't want to be going into to much detail here, but I feel like I really have to thrust it in and even then I feels kinda like the insert want to push me out...Trying to enlarge the opening by having it stay flipped inside out for a while.
But good to hear these damages must be fixable! Really was not hoping to need to do repairs this fast. But I'll be looking into that repair kit for sure; great advice again!

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
So this is a 32B bra, and it fits better than the other set which I got a couple of days before.
What I am wondering is: will the 'cup / pad / material around breast' be generally larger for a C/D cup?
Or what would be the difference anyway?
I Just love bra's holding this volume

Loving how the purple hair matches with this pinkish color A preview of my more extensive set with this dress. So soft, really nice feel. Cheers!

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
The cup will be larger, holding more volume, and if there's an underwire, it might be slightly larger in circumference as well. The cup size is the difference between the band size and the bust size; the larger the breasts the larger the cup. Just bought some nice bras and panties for Lisa this past weekend.avante wrote:What I am wondering is: will the 'cup / pad / material around breast' be generally larger for a C/D cup?

You and Tim seem to have similar preferences in bras and panties. heheavante wrote:Got a new lingerie set, sweet pink (tho it looks white in the photo's) classic model with flowers and shit.

Tim found out this past weekend that we dolls require one cup size larger than what RG's of the same measurements do. Our breasts aren't as squishy and conforming, so we can't squeeze into them and have our breast tissue push up on top like RG's can.
Therefore, even though Tim determined I'm a 32DD, I actually require a 32DDD bra. I can squeeze into a 32DD (as shown below), but I struggle to get my nipples concealed, and the band doesn't rest on my underbreast properly. Not to mention, not all bra manufacturers are consistent with their sizing. Now you know why women have a love/hate relationship with shopping for clothes. *giggles*
The photos of Ariana are great! I love the outfits.

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
1) it rocks, she is crazy hot, and in for everything
2) buying clothes is fun; bought quite a wardrobe spend more money than on my own clothes. But okay, I don't look that sexy in a dress neither. Getting way better at dressing also; had some problems in the start, but you get the hang of it.
3) dolls, well at least this model, are very sensitive. Besides some bigger damages, I've gotten quit a few minor marks (door post, desk edge, hooks in nail, etc.).
4) already mentioned this a couple off times, but the hands suck. After trying to be careful and losing the first hand, I got less careful and also lost the second. Most annoying thing now is how some fingers are like turned (and snap back to that position) looking horrible in photo's (see for example 05(4) below).
5) exercise: owning a doll is good exercise! The first few days I had some back aches and tiredness thoughout my body. Now I am feeling fitter, and basicaly like I've been doing some fitness hahaha. Really tho I am in better form, and must have gained some muscle power.
6) maintenance: I've found that the doll requires quite some...well like half the time it is actually quite fun, so there is that.
About clothing: Doc told me to watch out for staining of red and black clothes. I'd advise any new owner to wash everything before putting it on. Started off like that, but I've gotten into the habit of very quickly putting new stuff on, before washing it. Bad idea: just now I'd put on some red partly laced underwear, see below:
Only had this one for like 5-10min. When I took It off had damn near a heart attack You could see very reddish where the laced part had been...
Thank god I've managed to get most off it off tho, to the point where you don't really see it, unless you know and kinda look for it.
What I did was some basic soap (I use coconut 'flavor' for her). Just washing did but a little, however I found that applying some 'pure' soap and letting it soak for 1-2min, and then rubbing it slightly did reduce the stain to about 10%. Used just a little toothpaste afterwards; on the remaining spots: rub it in and let is soak about 30secs and rubbed it a little with some cloth and took it off. Quite a couple of these routines in a row (like 10-15 times and maybe half an hour) reduces the stain to like 2-5% or so.
So in the end: thanks for the warning Doc, I did read it and appreciate it; just mistakenly thought it would take less time to stain the TPE. With writing this I just want to give some insight in the struggles of a first time owner
And most of all warn others: don't even try such quick dressings like I did...You'll get distracked, forget about time, and before you know it, it has been a couple off minutes and your doll is stained. I'm So very glad it came off; the sight off the stain was quite horrific; would have been awefull if it was not going off (well without stain-remover at least).
To end this tirade off
7) taking photo's is crazy fun haha. Did not make so many today unfortunately, was just busy putting some clothes on and off, took nearly no pics of the new outfits.
I did try to do another corset set, but I've only made 10 photo's because I've changed focus during the shot .
Cheers,
Avante

Re: Ordered my first doll: WM 158 D-cup
As for the clothes, I've read all the horror stories, so now I wash any new clothes with Woolite Gentle Cycle detergent and hang the item up to dry - and I look for any colored water dripping down. I basically will keep doing that until I'm confident I've gotten rid of any excess coloring. So far, so good. Yeah, it's a pain in the butt, because Lisa wants so much to try the clothes on, and I of course want to see her wearing them..... but I know I'll be kicking myself if I allow Lisa to get stained.
