The way in which she is able to give the illusion of being a real person

My enthusiasm for silicone dolls is not at all diminished but WM have made significant strides with this body.
The wrists have a rotation joint in the lower arm. On the one hand it's too loose to pose reliably and on the other it's stiff and has to be rotated at the bone, and no doubt will loosen up but importantly this makes the wires (still, unfortunately) acting as the bending element for the wrist more controllable with respect to their extension to the fingers, enabling good finger posing, with care, but also relieves them of torsion strains.
With this I have confidence that the wrists will last longer and the doll makes a good bridge from inflatables for those who aren't entirely certain of an investment level for a silicone doll. But for those who want a one and only doll, who are saving for a doll expected to be with them for a very long time, their one and only bought without any room for error, right in one hit, I'd urge saving the extra to go for a silicone lady. That's simply my experienced advice and not intended to start a flame war.
The bottom line is that the improved WM doll is rather good and the 158 is a brilliant balance between sexiness and credibility, a wonderful sculpture, not too small and yet smaller than the 163 with less meat on the thighs, a welcome reduction in weight.
I had been attracted to a 165 which looked to be a great sculpture but which I knew to be the fake WM. Apart from uncertainties of quality of the fakes, and backup should there be a problem, the 35kg weight of the fake 165 puts it at the unpleasantly heavy end of the scales. In contrast the genuine 158 is a lovely balance of qualities.

and Rose from http://www.beautiful-dolls.com/phoebe-p-326.html but felt that the existing photos of her were either a bit of an exaggeration or didn't do her justice.
In my opinion the 158 at 30kg rather than the 163 at 32kg and with a slightly sexier figure, which I'd be looking for in a sexdoll rather than a supermodel, is the cream, indeed the Queen of the WM range, particularly also the #15 head.
I'm not entirely sure but I think that WM have improved the head construction. There is more of a skull and cheekbone sensation to the structure noticeable with Pippa in her new incarnation. Were she to exercise oral skills I have half a feeling that this is probably an improvement from before.
I'm still of the opinion that TPE dolls are primarily sexdolls, and from the sort of queries about repairs ongoing, more as consumables rather than investments. TPE abrades, and rubbing without lots of lubrication can cause degradation of the surface.
But within that context, to say that I'm delighted with Pippa's new photographic career is an understatement. That's not to say anything about my other dolls. These dolls are cheaper and you get what you pay for, and seeing them side by side in real life, my silicone dolls exhude a quality. But that doesn't detract from what Pippa's achieved photographically in the last few days.
I know from other dolls with the nature of her skeleton that her joints are likely to loosen up sooner rather than later, because sex and the bedroom is what she's made for rather than the sort of tough things that I put my girls through.
Finally, these dolls are not made for standing, and I'm treating Pippa as "mother's best china" rather than as a consumable . . . And they are not made to be put in the bath. When ordering, it's a good idea to go for the insert option as then cleaning the insert will not involve any risk of getting water into the skeleton. The external appearance of the private parts is the same with both options so choosing the insert will save a cause of grief.
If anyone's been looking at more expensive dolls, then I'd advise continuing to consider them as the ones I rave about are very truly exceptional. However, if treated with care but still considering her more in the nature of a consumable, the WM158 is a very lovely lady and holds her own among others . . .

Which doll would I go for if I was only able to have one? That's a hard question and I'm not going to answer it here. Increasingly cognoscenti are drawing to sympathetic opinions, but that doesn't detract from the WM158 as a good runner up.
Finally, oil and the smell. When she first came out of the box, the engine-oil smell was powerful enough to stay with my woolen pullover, but now after a few weeks, although I haven't got intimately close, I haven't smelled her. In fact the smell of the silicone dolls is greater - it's not an objectionable smell though in the nature of the engine oil smell of TPE. She had a double powdering when friends came round to help with a photoshoot and she's been in the same clothes since. Very remarkably she hasn't leaked oil into the fabric as I would have expected.
All I can really say is that if the WM158 has looked you in the eyes, then don't hold back - for the price you won't be disappointed and if you treat her well, someone else will probably fall in love and buy her from you in six months or a year.
For me, variety of the faces is magic and in that is the delight of having more than one, and more than one sort.

* It's important to be aware that Annie at Unique Dolls does sell the WM fakes so if ordering through her, it's important to ensure you're asking for the genuine WM. However, encouraging her demand for genuine WM dolls will make the fakes irrelevant to her business and therefore pointless in their promotion. If in doubt about a seller and a particular doll, always ask about it on a TDF thread! I mention Unique Dolls here as they are prominent on the UK and other forums and encouragement to stock genuine things and demand for them can be just as powerful as discouragement of the fakes.
