Yikes! That's good to know. Mental note: don't ever use hydrogen peroxide on TPE.ewood wrote:by the way, hydrogenperoxide does not work very well. as it is a weak acid, it appears to be softening the tpe pathologically, the part that i used it on felt like very soft chewing gum. i neutralized it with lots of water.....

Re: Ewood's magical stain remover for TPE-dolls
Is this baking soda trick definitely safe to do? Have other people done it with success to remove bad black stains?
Re: Ewood's magical stain remover for TPE-dolls
anyone out there try this?
also, the pic of the baking soda looked like a german product. will arm and hammer baking soda found in the U.S. work?
Re: Ewood's magical stain remover for TPE-dolls
Baking soda is often referenced as sodium bicarbonate and, occasionally, as sodium hydroxide carbonate.
I've read numerous times that baking soda arrests mold and mildew growth.Samurai wrote:

I tested it against a control area using arm & hammer. After 48 hours both spots faded equally. The solutions does not work, at least not with arm & hammer however baking soda chemical compositions are the same unless otherwise specified.
The WM stain remover on the other hand did work but it comes supplied in very small amounts
