by the way, hydrogenperoxide does not work very well. as it is a weak acid, it appears to be softening the tpe pathologically, the part that i used it on felt like very soft chewing gum. i neutralized it with lots of water.....

Yikes! 8O That's good to know. Mental note: don't ever use hydrogen peroxide on TPE. :!:

ewood , can you please be sure and take pictures as steps and time frames in another words clean off baking soda off stained spot , every two hours or 4 hours whenever you check and clean the area , taking pictures this way would show how well the stain is being removed and after so many hours each time, documenting it.
THANKS ! :)

Haven't been doing much with the doll lately... I have usually put o a new layer of soda and removed the old one about every 40 min but have stopped now since I don't have much time. The stains are barely there anymore so they don t disturb me anymore. next time i take poctures i will make sure to upload some here....

I unfortunately have the first bad stain on my doll after leaving her in a suspender belt in storage for a couple of days. The suspenders didn't stain while she was out but now there's a bad stain under her from her weight pushing on the suspender belt and also where her arms had pushed tights against her sides while she was being stored.

Is this baking soda trick definitely safe to do? Have other people done it with success to remove bad black stains?

I saw the pic of the stain. I saw the pic with the goop on her. I see no further pic to show progress. I'm very curious if it worked
anyone out there try this?
also, the pic of the baking soda looked like a german product. will arm and hammer baking soda found in the U.S. work?

Baking soda is often referenced as sodium bicarbonate and, occasionally, as sodium hydroxide carbonate.

I tested it against a control area using arm & hammer. After 48 hours both spots faded equally. The solutions does not work, at least not with arm & hammer however baking soda chemical compositions are the same unless otherwise specified.

The WM stain remover on the other hand did work but it comes supplied in very small amounts
