That's really upsetting.
I don't have much to offer in terms of insight,
just here to offer support.
Looking forward to hearing about the positive outcome from this, however!

I have a term for this s*!# I call this a TDF horror story and a doll shipping disaster. Feel so sorry for anyone who has experienced this trauma, makes me mad and laugh every time I here and see one.

Update: The vendor has made things right. They are sending a replacement body. I have to pay partial shipping, but I’m ok with that because I’m also able to keep the defective body. She will be useful for practicing repairs.

Quite the rollercoaster, but has resolved on a satisfactory note. Thank you to everyone that contributed feedback, I appreciate it, learned a thing or two. Should everything go well, I’ll post some pictures after she arrives.

Cheers. :glou:

That's great news, I think from your first post you did everything perfectly, with the photographs, GIF's, and a thorough description of the situation. You have a great Vendor.

The shipping situation sucks. I had a WM arrive back in October in exactly the same condition. Major gap at the feet, shoulders bent around to the butt. The only difference is, my neck will hold a pose now. Maybe because it’s not a gooseneck. I managed to straighten her out eventually but the skeleton inside is still bent. WM took care of me real good on that. I too got a replacement body for the price of shipping and got to keep the defective model. I’m glad things worked out for you.

We need to make a big collage of all the damaged dolls shipped from WM and send them the picture.
If it’s from the TDF… They might take notice and do something about it.
We can “make or break” you here.

it may be traumatizing to look at these pictures, but hopefully they make good in the end. Chinese manufactures need to start from scratch in finding more adequate ways of packaging the dolls.

If it were me what would make me as a manufacturer take more notice is what costs me more money. I would rather as a manufacturer pay less money making a replacement body than having to eat freight for the return of damaged body & shipping to the customer a new body. The doll makers should be fully insuring the dolls they ship to cover the full replacement cost of the doll for shipping damage. We as customers imo should not be their defacto insurance. TDF also imo should also make it a default position of the TDF accreditation any damaged doll not satisfactory to the buyer must be replaced or a full refund given. If this were in place the doll manufacturers would not send out any doll to us with known defects & damage or the wrong doll not as ordered. Inspections by the manufacturers seem to be a lesser priority the way it is now, this would be improved with my change as well as they know we can reject the doll for such things & be made whole not by having to settle for what we received.
