Alyssa is lovely Jimmy, That wait from the time you get your pictures to the delivery is brutal. Hopefully it will be over soon and you will be able to show us new photos of her. We're looking forward to that!

I do plan on posting photos of her. I have a DSLR camera and a good tripod. I do though need to buy something small for lighting. That reminds me, I need to charge the battery and clear the memory card of my camera.

Hi jimmy, I have not received any pictures of my doll from the WM factory in China to see what it looks like, and no news of the order, these nornal or I should worry. I ordered sd Canada on 27 November. How long did you wait to receive your photos from the factory

When I was doing portraits/weddings one of the best lighting sources is window light, sometimes accompanied by a small white reflector to open shadows if needed. Quick and dirty method is on camera flash that has the ability to bounce the light off walls and ceilings.

I received the factory photos 9 days after I placed my order. This is my first doll and first time using SD Canada so I'm not sure what is normal for them. I asked SDC for the tracking info for the shipment from China to Canada but SDC did not have any tracking info. She could still be in China as far as I know. I'm now seeing people post about their new WM dolls that they ordered after me and have already received it. Which doesn't make me feel very good .

Hmmm...not sure how much light it would give you and what shutter speeds/f-stop combos you could use. You may have to use the camera on a tripod as it doesn't looks like it yields much life for being able to hand hold a DSLR. If it were me, I'd opt for an on camera flash with capabilities to bounce light in horizontal/vertical. It gives soft shadow free light 90% of the time.

I can use mine to bounce light off the ceiling, an adjacent wall or the wall behind me either horizontally or vertically as the flash head rotates. An example...

I can't tell you how relieved I feel right now. Alyssa finally made it home.

The poor girl left China on November the 30th, than got stopped for 18 days locked up at Customs Canada and than got another short delay because of new years. I sure hope Rick at SDC will forgive me for being such a pain in the butt during that ordeal. He was a big help at getting me through the past few weeks.

I won't bore you with pics of the unboxing and skip to later in the evening.

I decided to clean her with her standing up leaning against the washing machine, with a larger towel and rubber mate under her. Washing and powdering went well. During that time I was amazed at just how beautiful her body was. That ass, oh that ass. I couldn't be happier, the 158D is just what I was looking for. I think I'd have a hard time with a doll that had a smaller waist then her's.

I was able to talk her into a couple of photos, but all she was just interested in, was getting a good nights sleep.
