Any intell on the new WM dolls

I saw a few new WM dolls for sale on an asian website that is not TDF approved... The dolls are more expensive than average, and two of them are described as "sex dolls with artificial intelligence:anime sex doll"

Now what does that mean?

In general, Chinese 'AI powered' or 'Smart' dolls are dolls with additional features such as heating or AI in-built. Usually there aren't any locomotion involved - it's as if you have a smartphone in your doll that you talk to.

There are exceptions like Ex/DS, who developed heads capable of complex expressions/emotions, and limb movements, in addition to their AI software.

WM recently appeared on international news sites for their 'AI' dolls - who can hold (basic) conversations, wave at you, and rotate their head/waist. They do however lack facial expressions.

In contrast to Ex/DS, WM's AI endeavor isn't aimed to make their dolls 'that human like', as one of their managers told Reuters, "after all we're just making adult products". WM also faces challenges of 'lack of experts' willing to develop AI technology for adult products.

These WM AI dolls according to DailyMail were available in early 2018 but only few have bought them. Each could cost around £1,118 to £5,592. They're hoping that these dolls would be a hit among its overseas fanbase, since exports account for 80% of their sales.

That's awesome. Still as much as I love the idea of a smart doll/loveobot. With all the hacking vulnerabilities, I think maybe with dolls, I prefer my ladies stupid. For now anyway. I do have an Alexa in 4 rooms of my house. My dream bot is still a hot looking version of Rosie the Robot from the Jetsons. Do all the house work, maybe gripe a little, but also be there for other needs of mine.

I think it's some kind of translation issue. Nothing if further description says about any AI features, just a regular doll.

Oh, this is another one... yes but their normal dolls are not described as AI, and are cheaper... these AI dolls are more expensive... but as you mentioned not details as to what do they mean by AI... Maybe you are right and someone got lost in translation
