In Trouble?

I found that out today. The only reason I tried it was because of the video I watched the other day.

I guess all fixes are not for every situation.

I think what happens is the baby oil and Vaseline dissolves the glue on the tape and turns it to slime. That's what happened to mine anyway. Didn't seem to bother the painters tape I used later though. Different adhesive I guess.

I didn't use the baby oil till today. I had to pick the particles of tape out with a toothpick and then soak in 90 proof alcohol to scrub it out so I could start over. It was sticky to say the least.

I think next time I'm just going to use Teflon tape. No adhesive on that at all. Know I've got some around here someplace.

I have Teflon tape and I believe I still have the yellow version left over from threading gas pipes.
