Standing up in high heels!

With them being able to swivel they grip the sole of the shoe better IMO and the caps protect them better too. The bare bolt heads seem to dig in the soles and carpet or hardwood floors but with the caps they spread out evenly. The caps also protect socks and hosier too.

Using your technique we managed to get Laura in heels and standing great. Thanks for your advice, took a few trips to the hardware store to get the right length bolts but I'm super happy

It is probably just easier with them since it provides a larger, level area the weight is distributed than with the heads of the bolts.

Nikki is so happy to hear about these great results! Thanks for responding. For months and months, all she talked about was "bolts, bolts, bolts!" Now, she's been standing for about two years and she loves the lifestyle!

She just wanted to say "hi" again and show off her second pair of bolted platform heels. These are version 2, whereas her light blue heels were version 1. In version 2, the "holes" for the two elongated front foot bolts are really very shallow, almost just depressions in the heels so the two front bolts catch just enough in the shoe material to keep her toes free and loose.

She says, "Look at my toes! Free and loose and no pressure!"

Blue veins is my special technique!

It's a blue eyeliner pencil, and certain porn stars used as blue-vein models, such as Samantha 38G.

After many, many months, it fades, and I have to do draw the veins again. I also strategically draw veins on her arms, hands, and neck to increase her realism.

I also enhanced her areola with make-up - i have another post which shows the kind of make-up i used, which didn't rub off on her bra. I had just applied the areola make-up in the blue vein post, so it looks too dark and unrealistic, but subsequently I was able to lighten it with baby powder and smooth it for a realistic look.

The doll type is shown in the footer of each post - a standard WM doll: WM156cm H-cup Head #122 Hairstyle 10.

So can these mods fix the whole "rolled ankle" problem? I cannot get my Jam to stand in anything but flat bottoms without ankle rolling. They are not overly loose or anything? She is WM Doll 5'7" and weighs about 80 pounds. I even built a rolling stand for her to help support the weight.

Can you define "rolled ankle" problem? Do you mean the doll rotates forward (or back) at the ankle joint, i.e. where the calf-skeleton-section joins the foot-plate?

If so, I never really addressed that joint, or that rotation, because Nikki stands slightly (very, very slightly) leaning back against a wall. So her whole body can indeed rotate, minutely, perhaps from 90 degrees (from the floor, i.e. vertical) to ~89 degrees (slightly tilted back against the wall).

In my design, the innovation is anchoring the metal footplate into the base/sole of the high-heel shoes, preventing the TPE from smashing/crushing against the tops/fronts/toe-holes of the shoes/high-heels. I found that when all the weight is transferred from the TPE to the shoes, that was a floppy, non-rigid interface that was unstable. But with the bolt extensions, the metal skeleton mates directly with the soles/bottoms of the shoes, and the soft TPE plays no role in transferring the force/weight from the doll/skeleton to the shoes.

Once or twice, I did get her to stand up perfectly straight, on her own, in the middle of a room, on carpet even, but that was just for a few seconds, because I knew she'd eventually tip over.
