Sorry to hear about your loss, Spirit.
And I mean what I say.

I guess there are three things being "the worst thing that can happen"
two of which would be
- losing a person you love
- losing a child

I'm sorry for your loss; she died way too young. But if there is anything that you can take out of this is that you at least had 15 years together. Some people never feel and give the love that I'm sure you two did for each other. Know that we are all here for you and are willing to help you in anyway you ask.

Total heartfelt condolences. I have been in a similar place. Takes a long long time. Someday there will be light or at least there was for me.

Bless you- Balc

spiritfirem, i have admired your strength and devotion ever since i first learned of your wife's health problems, and i must say that she was very lucky to have you. i know that the sorrow of her passing will never fully disappear, but i also know that someone with the character you have shown will surely continue to see beauty in the world just as long as you try. peace and comfort to you in these difficult days...

with love,
claire

Some here know your pain SpiritfireM. I'm not going to kid you that its not going to be easy. Hang in there as now only you have those moments together in your mind you two shared together on this planet. Who knows what is next? Enjoy what you did have together. I think about it every day and even silly things like the new STAR WARS coming out hurts as my wife was a big nerd about STAR WARS before I met her and watching the new HD versions without her does not sound like any fun. Regular TV hurts sometimes when a show we both like is still on but again she is not there to talk to during the story we both followed. Those are the kind of events that will keep it fresh in your mind. You'll need plenty of tissue for the tears. Also now in any movie where someone dies I get all worked up with the wet works even on films that didn't before. Your life has changed. Do what you feel is right for yourself as family will offer many advice but I choose to stay put in the same house and kept most of my wifes stuff as I'm in no hurry to junk it. Lot of good memories in that junk : )
