So, put a non-digital kill switch in one of the armpits or something. I won't worry about getting my ass kicked by a robot until they fix the finger issues.

However, asking one to hand you a plugged in blow dryer while you're in the tub might be a poor choice.

That article is indeed remedial. Its basically just click baiting itself to the Skynet stigma people have in Silicon valley which is ridiculous.

On a more realistic note, that a sex robot could infect serious injury or death.
It appears the DS robot doll head has the ability to snap her teeth together when she talks......

Can you imagine, a mechanic break, or an actual programming error occur when youre getting oral from it?

Such events of love doll mishaps may seem anecdotal at this point in time but there is a real danger just on the horizon of adding electronics and moving mechanical parts into something that literally can have you by the balls. There is no doubt we will hear more and more of maimed individuals caused by rampant sex dolls which literally blew a fuse. While I welcome any progress to make love dolls more real and enjoyable like a real woman, we as consumers must be prepared to face the fact that these future dolls will in fact be dangerous devices if improperly used/maintained. Just like how a real woman can be pretty but dangerous, as manufacturers strive forward to make their dolls closer to a real woman, the dolls will also become pretty but dangerous. The choice of the future will be: do I gamble on a possible future divorce and alimony/child support/loss of 50% of assets, or chance it with a doll and possibly get terminated during climax.

This is where I exploded in laugh. Tell that to Boston Dynamic, that billion dollar robot industry that did not figure out that one yet. By the day that the technology will be small, light, affordable and elegant enough to make it into a sex doll, most of the forum members here will be deceased of old age.
