We've been together for just about a year now and we're still quite happy
We're still here in China and while we did move apartments she still spends most of her time on my desk next to me or the sofa next to my computer, spending long hours watching me on the PC or daydreaming while staring out the window. I've been in a relationship with a lovely local girl for about 6 months and she has had no problem with 小雪 from the very start so that nice. (Though she does feel she's a little uncanny valley, lol)
The honeymoon and sexy time has definitely diminished (Since that need is often met by said gf anyway lol) but I still enjoy intimacy with her from time to time, recently for example since the gf is busy with her family for Chinese new year.
Most of the other expats I work with and many of my Chinese friends are all aware I have her and most of them really like her, the others don't care.
My boss really likes her and flirts with her every time he visits
My brother, mother, and my brother's fiance are going to visit me come June, and I still haven't decided if I'm going to leave her out for them
In the end I probably will, I know my mother and brother's fiance won't mind her, only my brother would hold some skepticism, he wouldn't actually do anything or be mad, but I don't know if I want to risk the potential loss of respect from him, however small. But ultimately, personally I think it's really best to just live life openly. Everyone I know gets me and knows I'm on the strange side and my fascination with all things cute, so she really hasn't been much of a surprise to most people.
tl;dr- I still have a strong and healthy social life so I know she's not an issue, and life is still good for us!
