Head Removal Question

Post by WaffleAnomaly »

So I've never actually tried to remove my DS163's head since I got her, is there any special technique on getting it to release? I tried gently pulling upwards but it didn't seem to be doing anything.

Any tips would be great! :glou:

Sit her down facing you while you are standing. Her head should be about level with your midsection. Place both hands like you are cradling her face. Her ears will be mostly positioned in the space between your thumb and index finger. All of this setup makes sure you have good leverage and can safely apply force. You should be able to pull upwards without any other motions, however, you can also gently rock her head side to side while pulling up. Once you do this a couple times it simply becomes second nature.

I grab her by the chin and back of the head, quick yank and her head comes right off.

Thanks for the tips, I finally got around to trying again. The secret was twisting back n forth a tiny bit while pulling and it came right off.

She was in need of re-powdering on the neck as turning her head was causing resistance. Also oiled the neck bolt a bit, but probably not needed. Now it's perfect again :D
