New Member deciding my first purchase.
For a while DSdolls caught my attention and my eye to aesthetics, but I wanted to know more see my options so I went through vendors and looking at the variety of dolls and I was amazed by the abundance of pictures some other doll makers have but they still couldn't capture the same feeling DS did for me.
I even did a very in depth study of the difference between TPE and Silicone so I plan on making my first order during December once I have made this one last hurdle and it between two heads.
the body I decided to choose is the 167cm body for dressing purposes and it figure and seems very easy to find clothing for this body.
But I can't get over if I should get the Youyi head with normal 167cm or the Kayla with 167cm EVO, I know there is a option for no S class make up for the 167cm evo body but I wonder if there going to be any skin tone problems?
so some information would help me come to a conclusions on this matter. hope maybe one day S-class makeup for Youyi...

Re: New Member deciding my first purchase.
sKayla is small Kayla for the 145 so don't get confused.
S class makeup - I don't know about their new makeup but in the past standard has been good. However I've seen some heads lacking eye-shadow so do check with DS about what you want and what you're getting.
There are other manufacturers . . . but DS have something. Psion Satori's recent photos in the dungeon are really incredible.
Best wishes

Re: New Member deciding my first purchase.
S-class makeup and the 'Evo' body variants are not tied together, but there are other dependencies you might want to keep in mind.Phosphophyllite wrote:[…] once I have made this one last hurdle and it between two heads. - As well Youyi as Kayla are available with S-class makeup. S-class makeup means: harder silicone for the head. Different silicone blend means: There will be a slight skin color deviation between head and body. You might or might not notice it, depending on lightning and other factors. It is very subtle. You can chek out our shipped doll factory photos, there is always a photo with the head on the body.
- More important is that there are photos for Kayla with S-class makeup. There ain't for Youyi. S-class makeup might or might not look brilliant on the older heads. On Thera (an older head sculpt) it was just *kaboom*, on Yolanda I needed to look very close to see differences. There is no way to tell before there are photos from the factory or other owners. Kayla would be a safe bet with S-class makeup, as well as all newer DS heads. For older heads there might be surprises when choosing S-class makeup: viewtopic.php?f=227&t=104977
- You can get as well the regular DS-167 as the new DS-167 Evo body style with all six skin colors. You can (explicitely) request from DS to get the head with the same silicone blend as the body, reducing skin tone deviation to the technically possible minimum. However, in this case you can't get S-class makeup.
- There is a 7th 'special' skin color, which is not relevant for the two heads you have mentioned. With the special skin color you would loose compatibility with 2nd hand heads you might want to purchase later. However, this 'spcial' skin color looks really great on newer heads like Mohan/Leaf.
- Regarding pros and cons of the newer DS-167 Evo and the regular DS-167 body styles you can take a look into these threads: viewtopic.php?f=227&t=104689 (from 2018) and https://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtop ... 96#p864096 (from 2016). It is a tough decision, and in essence the decision-making questions are: a) Do you want a built-in (fixed) or removable (insert) vagina? b) Is the DS-167 Evo within your budget, c) are you prepared to care for a (more delicate) high-end doll, and d) are the (imho exquisite) 'Evo' features for you worth the steep extra charge (which cumulate with the S-class makeup option)?

Re: New Member deciding my first purchase.
1: I will get the 167cm EVO body in white/cream what ever I think I like more.
2: since I can't decide on what head I will get I'll just have to try both in the S-class make up to see since I know Kayla is a safe bet and Youyi is taking a leap of faith I would like to see how it comes out.
thank you every one for the info it might be a while before I get back to this post but Ill make sure to make a new one when I get the doll.

My 167 is very lovely. But sex? Not in the picture. The insert and or the cavity, simply too small.Dollstudio wrote: - You can get as well the regular DS-167 as the new DS-167 Evo body style with all six skin colors.

Apparently well lubricated the EVO is much better although I haven't met one yet.
Better sex + the looks of the 167 . . . should be a winner.
Thera is one of my favourite doll ladies

I have many dolls here. The DS 167EVO ranks high up there with the American $6000 dolls. You will like many of the features this doll offers!
Here are a couple photos of my DS Girls.
