Figured I would start a thread for my DS Girls. They have taken up residence here at the ranch and as other brands here,
DS have certain qualities that come forward when photographing. My favorite asset are by far the hands. These hands really pose well.
When photographing women, the hands are so important.
A lot of dolls are weak in this area, But DS are now my favorite hands in the doll world to pose. There are American Dolls that have better detail but do not pose as well.
I will try my best to review as I use this thread to display all of them. Here is the latest photo challenge image I did with Rexxi.

Then there is Hallie Bare-me. She just floors us all with her sensual mouth and bedroom eyes. The other asset I really like about DSDolls. The eyes!
They are very easy to move and pose. Im sure you all are looking at her eyes!

Beauties, The posing is done so well. You sure have an eye, for the ladies.
Yes not only the hands but the quality of the sculpting comes out in these photos.

I do love my 3 DS Girls and they do make some wonderful Ladies but you do take it one step beyond our mortal existence with your photography....

Kudos for bringing dolls from many manufacturers to life, it is not easy. I have a DS too, but I am struggling to get her to bend (literally) to my will.

THESE ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY WONDERFUL PHOTOS!

It's a real pleasure seeing you having found qualities of DS ladies that I've been talking about, enthusing about, possibly to an extent that others have found difficult to believe. But you're finding those qualities and proving them well founded.

It's the movement, of hands as you say, and other things, and eyes, that transform any thought that these might be dolls into abstractions of humanity which really do come alive. Perhaps there's a difference between looking merely real and actually alive. For me it's that illusion that we can capture that these ladies are alive that is so enduring and appealing.

This isn't just an illusion manifest in front of the camera and AH's camera in particular. On last month's Coverdoll shoot https://coverdoll.com/drupal/node/2694 a celebrity DS lady went as a tourist to London and made friends wherever she went, people wanting their selfies taken with her because she looked so alive.

Your photos capture that "life" quality so well.

Almost missed her, the ears are so much less obvious than on the 145. Your lighting is sweet, brings the skin really to life. May I ask how you lighted your cuties for this shoot ?

Thanks for the new thread and another opportunity to drool over your creations. I still think Lexi is one of the most stunning girls I've ever seen, but Hallie is now a close second. Superb work. Can I ask what type of lighting setup do you use. I'm looking at getting a 3 light system with large reflectors and some backdrops for a small home studio. Do you ever use one of those ring lights. I'm not asking for you to divulge any of your secrets. 30 to 40 years ago I did TV work and some photography, a fair bit of lighting work and some BW darkroom work. But I haven't touched a camera in decades now. I recently got my first doll and a new Canon EOS T6. A new hobby for my retirement years.

Hey Billy! These shots are mostly natural light. I try to use as much natural as possible.
I have a few light set ups for accent lighting that include a cheap soft box and a couple led photo lights. No ring light.
I like to keep it simple. Here are Rexxi and Hallie hanging out about to get busy on one another.
