Hello again guys!

This is mainly for LuvAnimeGirlz and Byakuya Kuciki (and anyone else that has a Happy Dolls Dagmar).

On Dagmar, I wanted to know how close the dimension are listed on the Beautiful Dolls website in comparison to the actual doll?

This is what I got off the site:

Bust (C) 85cm, 33.5"
Waist 64cm, 25.6"
Hips 98cm, 38.6"

I know the first dimension will be different as I think both of you have dolls with larger breasts, but I am curious if it was accurate on the web site. The other two dimensions should be the same throughout.

One reason I am asking is that I am looking to get some clothing beforehand. I have ordered some stuff already, but it is mostly one size fits all stuff. I want to get other items as well.

Thanx,

Diaval

Also, what is her upper arm circumference? This isn't given on the site.

Mine has the C breasts, the measurements are very accurate. Upper arm circumference is 25cm.
Keep in mind that the taper from hip to waste is pretty strong, so for instance pants with elastic bands, or skirts, will tend to slip up and sit on top of the hips, so not at the widest part.

Yes, I am getting the C breast with mine too. It is nice to know the measurements are spot on as I have been buying clothes for her and while mostly everything has been 'one size fits all' I do want to get at least one nice dress for her so I can take pictures of her and show her off here.

Speaking of measurements, thank you for the arm circumference. Would you happen to know her shoe size too? Joy at Beautiful dolls said this was a 35....translating that to American sizes, that comes to about a size 5. Please let me know if that is what you get. Once I have her shoe size, I already have her calf size...so I am going to the good will store to find a nice pair of thigh high, high heeled boots for her.

It was just recently I was thinking of that. I had noticed that the waist to hip ratio quite out there. Going from a 26" waist to a 38" hip....That is a 10" difference! So it had me wondering if skirts are going to go on from the bottom up or the top down. Her bust is 35" 3" smaller than her hips. So it has me wondering that if I took her head off (to dress her), it might be easier to get tighter fitting skirts and dresses over her shoulders. Of course anything with a zipper or catch should go on easily from the bottom up. But I do know what you are saying in that it is wiser to to a size up and even if a skirt is not tight around the waist, it will still stay up due to the elastic band being fully relaxed. BUT the downside is that she may not have as nice of a fitted look in the waist.

I already deemed early on that Dagmar is going to be a high candidate for flared skirts or swing dresses. Putting a petticoat under a dress with her wide hips should flare the dress out considerably:

https://i.pinimg.com/736x/44/0f/3a/440f ... resses.jpg

This type of dress ALWAYS looks great on a wide variety of body shapes. The halter type dresses, like the one above, generally has the back totally open:

https://www.amazon.com/Halter-Vintage-D ... dpSrc=srch

Pricing is good on these also. You can get a decent quality one for $30 or so.

I think another type of dress that would suit Dagmar are Mermaid dresses...Oh wow! This one is pretty hot!

https://sep.yimg.com/ay/yhst-1306345449 ... 139-39.jpg

Dang! Sizes are off. I have noticed that Dagmar seems to take a small in the top half of her body and a medium in the bottom half.

Thanx,

Diaval

So far I've only bought cheap stuff from aliexpress ;)
Stuff like this is great: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/2017-Wo ... 31195.html

No idea on shoe size, I can measure her feet if that helps?

I have quite a bit of that already...check this out:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M9 ... UTF8&psc=1

This one is one of my favorites, but it hasn't arrived yet:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0754 ... UTF8&psc=1

I like that one above because it is sheer and I can see the breast cleavage.

This one arrived two days ago and it is VERY nice:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B073Z ... UTF8&psc=1

Unlike the other body stockings I ordered, this one has thicker material and it can stretch to no tomorrow. Perfect for 'wide bodied' Dagmar.

And here is yet another bodysuit I received the other day:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B075N ... UTF8&psc=1

Not as nice material as the one above, but this one covers more of the body. Plus I can do some cute clothing layerings with this one. But I also have a full flesh colored bodysuit on the way:

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01BL ... UTF8&psc=1

This is mostly for protection in the event I put her in dark clothing. The bodysuit is a barrier between the dark clothing and the doll's 'skin'. It will also help absorb sweat and body oils on warmer days.

Oh! And yeah, I think if you did measure out the foot's length and width, I should be able to find out the size from there. I HAVE read that it is either a size 5 or 5.5. But I want to know for sure. Once I do, I am going to swing over to the Salvation Army building, which is right around the corner from where I live. I see shoes there all the time and I could pick up a set of thigh high boots for around $10. While I am there I am going to see what other clothes they have.

Sheesh! I tell you, I am spoiling this little fabric princess and she isn't even here yet!

Thanx,

Diaval

Thank you...she is a an American size 5AA the double A meaning the narrowest available for the given size based on the length. So she might be 'floating' a bit in normal width shoes, but in a high heel boot, I doubt this will be a problem.

The high heeled boot are necessary for some....uhhhh, lets say 'standing positions?'

Oh! These would be perfect!

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Lycra-Spandex- ... EVwlVSfCIg

Spandex high heel boots!

Oh another question...how articulated is the foot? Can the front part (toes) pivot to handle something as high as a stiletto heel?

Thanx,
Diaval

No, unfortunately not. They can turn side to side but (on mine at least) they tend to twist back forward.

Oh really? So the doll can't go in high heels? On the movement chart, it shows the foot can pivot up and down. I was more curious about the toes in the front being able to move and pivot. But you are saying the foot can't pivot up and down at the heel?

Unfortunately the foot cannot pivot. High heels are definitely a no go. I mean to be honest i never saw the point of getting shoes for your doll. Hotaru certainly never wears shoes.

That is a BIG downer! The range of motion chart I got from Beautiful Dolls shows the foot being able to pivot. So either the chart is wrong or there has been an improvement made recently. Naturally I like heels as they nicely showcase a woman's foot while also adding a few inches to a woman's height. The latter would come in handing when taking the Horizontal Mambo on a vertical level.

As for the point of getting shoes...well, don't you think thigh high heeled boots are sexy?

Well, if high heels will not work on the doll, would a low heel boot work like these?

@LuvAnimeGirlz

That silver Realise swimsuit you have for Dagmar, that is a size large?I

I found something similar made by them, item #T-007sh.

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Realize-T-007S ... 1438.l9372

How does this material feel on the doll? It is rubberized, so is a grabby feel or smooth gliding feel?

I think this is the other one you have, yes?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Realise-N- ... 1438.l9372

This is the spandex one, so the medium is good.

Also I came across these full bodysuits:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/realise-fullbo ... SwAaJZ7bPS

They look fantastic and I like how they make the leg seam line right at the point where the leg line cut would be. However, what gets me is that unlike the other swimsuits, this one comes from China. Meaning it is probably made there. The others come from Japan. Do you have any experience (or knowledge) about these?

BTW, I am still looking for that purple teddy from Dreamgirl. Amazon doesn't have the sm / med. Only large and XLarge.

Thanx,
Diaval

Size on the silver is a medium (keep in mind that the sizes are Japanese size, so the size scale is a bit offset compared to US sizes). The silver one I have is a n-008sh medium in silver. If the butt coverage is a normal back, they refer to as an 'n' model of a product. A 't' prefix will indicate a thong back. The shoulder straps were extremely hard to put on with the medium sized one. I think it is more appropriate for the 160cm anime deluxe size than the Dagmar. I probably spent 20 minutes trying to work that suit onto the Dagmar body. Also, another thing I notice is that the thong back versions have a slightly higher cut on the front compared to the "normal" cut which curves a little.

Regarding the material feel, it is smooth. Water itself will bead on the surface. Fingers will slide across if they're dry. Skin may grab onto the surface if damp. Be aware that there is pretty much 0 stretch. I had to squeeze in the hips, thighs and butt on the Dagmar when putting on the medium sized rubberized suit. That silver one linked is a 1st generation rubberized and discontinued. The later generation rubberized by Realise has some more stretch to them, but I don't have any to verify on. Oh, and keep other clothing away from the rubberized material as it will absorb dark colors into it. I ended up getting some dark splotches on a pink rubberized one (I did buy a few of various models when they were discounted and in production so that international shipping was amortized over multiple items).

For the full body suits, the model is FB-001, which can also be found in white from some UK retailers like cultulu.com The first release version color set was K-5001.

I'm eyeing out the N-709 and N-909 version since it has some high leg cuts.

WestCoastBikini has some nice high leg one piece type swimsuits as well. I would stick to non-metallic type fabrics. I've shopped there a few times as well. The Brazilian cut back is nice for the high leg half butt showing look. Small is probably the appropriate size for the Dagmar (since now this would be American sizing).

I like the N-008sh overall, especially in this color:

http://shop.cultulu.com/WebRoot/Store3/ ... k-0_ml.jpg

Sadly, as you said, it is discontinued.

I came across this outfit and it is like WOW!

https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C-vYYoyXcAEODbt.jpg

That is awesome looking. I could only imagine how much that cost!

I am starting to look into the 900 series for something similar to the one you have. Overall I like the back style and the leg cuts of the n series over the thong style. While I like that they are slightly higher, I prefer the butt to be covered up a bit.

Looking at this:

http://shop.cultulu.com/realise_900

The N-908 comes very close to yours, but it isn't as high cut in the legs. N-909 looks good, but more closed in the back. Leg cuts are NICE!

It sounds like it is really nice to run your fingers over, huh? Since it sounded like you had to 'stuff' Dagmar into the medium, would I be better off with a large?

Well, I could layer lighter clothing over it, but I am not opt to do so as the suits look amazing by themselves. I would be more opt to put the suit over a bodystocking as to have some protection for the arms and legs.

THAT is gorgeous! Not a crease in sight. This would be great as a base and then just layer on top of it. I read that they have the feel of Lyrca. I like the way that material feels.

The red one is gorgeous too.

Very nice indeed! I am looking at the N-909 as well.

Selection would have to be made carefully as I would only buy one. These are just too expensive...But they do look DARN good. With these fabric dolls, anything that makes them look 'hotter' is better.

I was browsing around on the site and I like this one this model is wearing:

The leg cuts are perfect! One thing though from that video...the swimsuits are custom made? Nice! It might be a cheaper alternative to the Realise suits for now. I do like the options for the 'behind' cover. And yes, you are correct I like the 'Brazil' cut the best. I am not too fond of the G-string / thong, but the Brazil cut is perfect.

This one is very simple but NICE!

I like this one too!

Thanks for the info!

Hello! I have finally done some tests based on your procedures above. But I have a couple questions before I post to my main thread.

I tested four dark colored pieces tonight mostly based on your tests above. On all, I have NOT prewashed any of these first. The pieces of clothing are as follows:

1) A dark Navy Blue Kimono Robe from Dreamgirl. (Lies loose on the body).
2) A bright red long sleeve mock neck from Balera. (Lies snugly on the body)/
3) A green convertible dress that was made in India. (Lies mostly loose, but the mid section is tighter).
4) A black bodystocking from Queens Hot. (Lies VERY tight on the body as it is a stocking material).

I tested all of these with warm water first and all of them passed the test. I found this surprising for #4 since that item is Chinese made and it does kind of fall into the 'cheap lingerie' category. But no dye came off on any of the clothing items.

Now for the alcohol tests, I expected 1 and 2 to pass with flying colors and 3 and 4 to stain a bit. In actuality the reverse happened. #1, the Dreamgirl Kimono robe left a little bit of a stain behind. Now, #2, a higher quality item than all of the others, I expected to pass the tests with flying colors. However, much to my dismay, this one left quite a noticeable pink stain behind when I rubbed it on a tissue. I tested both the collar and the zipper, the zipper seemed to be the worse of the two areas. I was so confident in this item that I had it on my doll for a week and there was no evidence of staining on the doll.

So in lieu of my findings, how would rate these items? (1&2 only, of course, since 3&4 passed the tests). Would they be safe enough? I have heard that with Dreamgirl, some outfits, particularly the black ones do have some initial bleed, but it washes out after the 3rd wash.

Since I am all very new to this, please let me know what your input on my findings are.

Thank You,

Diaval
