Painting Finger nails

Post by Obito »

Anyone have any stories?

Is nail polish remover safe for the nails on these dolls? Forgive my ignorance. I only have experience with a fabric doll and she didn't have any nails for me to paint.
Also, if a doll comes with coloured nails and there wasn't a no colour option, would nail Polish remover work? Or are the nails usually made of coloured plastic rather than being a clear plastic that was painted on.

Hi the nails are made of color plastic. They are glued. It is easy to remove them if you don't like them and use your own. The natural nails are close to real thing that don't have color.. Is that the color you want?

Yes. I wanted natural colour for the toe nails but I didn't see an option for that when I was ordering so I chose the light pink colour.

I did leave a note when I placed the order asking if it was possible to get the toe nails in the natural colour.

Welcome to TDF Obito! Do NOT use nail polish remover on TPE! It contains acetone which can harm your doll. If you paint the nails be very careful not to get any paint or remover on the fingers.

False nails are very cheap. I'd suggest to remove them and replace them with the nails/color you like. I've read that you have to be carefull by using dedicated TPE glue for nails and lashes.
