I'll start this topic, with
"Cleansing"

Beautiful Dolls' High-Grade Pure Silicone Dolls, should be cleansed/bathed
with rubbing alcohol.

The soft, perky breasts on Beautiful Dolls' High Grade Pure Silicone Dolls, are
gel injected, and I recommend the doll should be cleansed in pure alcohol,
to prevent discoloration, and also remove dirt or stain.

(Soap and water bathing, is not recommended)

A few other tips:

*Do not keep dye clothing on the doll when not using.
Store the doll naked in a dry area, on clear plastic over a soft cushion.

*When cornstarch or baby powder coating the doll for skin softness,
keep away from the doll's eyes. Use a make-up brush to apply.

*When changing doll's eyes/eye lashes, use a dab of water-based
lubricant, to easily remove and re-install, the eyes with a q-tip.

*When washing/grooming your doll's wig, wash in cold water
with a dab of shampoo in water, soak, rinse in cold water, and let airdry.

*An oil sheen conditioner spray, is recommended for brushing the wig,
and removing tangles:

Thanks for the helpful tips. Liz Tayler's "White Diamonds" is also an excellent substitute for corn starch or baby powder. Much higher quality. :-) And KY liquid lube works well for wigs if you have nothing else laying around ;-)

Question: Can oil based lubes be used like "Play?" I know they are much more difficult to clean but I bet it's is good for synthetic wigs which get frizzy. Plus it's cheaper than most hair products.

*The bikini is a Doll Dater Original, from the Elf Doll - Summer Fashion Collection.
(Actually, its a full micro-mini bikini, tailored for the Elf Doll)

*As for the oil-based lube on synthetic wigs my friend...
I dont think it has the same shine, as oil sheen conditioners on sale $4 at any
pharmacy, but it would definitely work.

*The pink wig, is a $5+free shipping cosplay bop wig from ebay,
just cut half length, with sissors.

Nice information, I am curious to its origination. I have purchased a silicone doll through BeautifulDolls, but she sells from a wide variety of manufacturers. I'm wondering about NOT using soap and water for cleaning. Is this something for ALL silicone dolls? Since I find it easiest to bathe my doll in the tub, with soap and water, I think using a tub of isopropyl alcohol would be a bit costly. And I cant imagine getting in there with her under those circumstances either.

Phredrick,

Soap and water bathing, is not recommended.....by me.

Again, I did do the soap and water, very minimumally,
on the elf sister......, and I noticed some absorbtion
of the water on the breast-gel, which caused
a darker discoloration there.

Luckily, the water went away after a few hours.

I'll stick to a large bottle of rubbing alcoho and
a roll of paper towels, for cleansing.

I've been applying alcohol for years. However, I use soap and water for cleaning a different doll.

Do what you will.

But listen to obin... an advisor of expertise on this issue.

And keep the eyelashes protected,
when powdering the doll, after cleansing.
Powder caked up in my dolls eyelashes,
and I had to put in a new pair
of super-hooker eyelashes, and sharpie
in some heavy eye-liner to match.

I'm keeping this beautiful doll, forever. So rubbing alcohol is my bathing solution-

It looks to me like you're doing a good job, and the information is welcome. :D

Please, do not think that I consider myself an expert. I never try to convey that.

I'd like to know how you handled the eyelashes. She looks great!

I am most grateful for any information I can get. And I typically ask more than one question for efficiency, and to not clutter up a thread, and mainly just to get clarification. I'm the type who likes to understand why to do something rather than just blindly doing something I dont know the reasons behind.

So the point about soap/water reaction with the "breast-gel". Is this a different mix used on some breasts? How would I know if I have such a mix on my doll? (JMDoll "Jenny") Her breasts are about as firm as the rest of her body, possibly slightly softer due to there not being a metal skeleton being under them.

My main reason for clarification is because I have dust and cats (6 of them) in my house. I typically have my doll under the blankets in my bed, but sometimes she is uncovered for a while, and silicone seems to attract cat hair. So the easiest way to clean it is to put my doll in the bathtub and use the sprayer to shoot the dust/fur off from her. Seems to work quite well... So if its the soap part of soap and water thats bad, then no problem.. otherwise, I'll have to find a different method to keep my beautiful doll from BeautifulDolls beautiful. I suppose I could use a lint roller... but thats kind of a pain.

Thank you once again, for your time and efforts...

Oh... and Romana; as for the milk bath... uhh... hmm... If there was some justifiable, compelling reason to do it, then I'd see what arrangements could be made.

Phred, all I know is...its an industry standard
to use alcohol. And thats what I do. It works.

Like its a underlying rule, to have a tube of sil-poxy,
before you get your doll. Its just out there in the
void of industry must haves and dos-

Thank you very much for the tutorial DollDater. I was wondering how these lovely ladies would stand up to the soap and water cleansing. I think that will make it a whole lot easier to clean and it has the advantage of a disinfectant as well.

I have been looking very intently at some of the “Beautiful Dolls” dolls. However it is so very difficult to narrow it down to just a few to pick from.
