The moisture that you see are the silicone oils sweating out. Manufactuers use different suppliers and types of silicone formulas as well as mixes. Some of what you are seeing could also be softeners and release agents. This could continue for ...

The better and high end manufactuers use very expensive silicone products (Smooth-On) which will not sweat or leach oil as others do although every doll does somewhat. This is one of the reasons that their dolls are so expensive.

If you didn't already, give the doll a good sponge bath with soap and water before doing anything else. It is the first thing that anyone should do upon receiving a doll and anytime you notice leaching of oils.

After you bath her make sure you powder her when she is dry...

Baby powder or cornstarch with a feather duster....

I just saw, on the other thread, she arrived, congratulations Phreddie.

They can be difficult to dress, but you tend to find the best ways to do it and the best clothes to use over time.

If you think she dressed up great, YOU try to dress her!! lol.. But anyway, thanks, I know what you meant. I love to try to come up with outfits for her to wear, I had gotten a few things before she arrived. I think I'm going to see if I can get back into sewing and put zippers on the back of any shirts/dresses. I could not get her top on over her head and arms, so had to put it on legs first. The skirt wasnt TOO much of a problem.

As for her eyes, they are partially open. I'm having fun with camera tricks, so because of how the eyes are, I can make them appear mostly closed just by adjusting the angle a bit.

The pic with her dressed in the boots, skirt and such she is supposed to have a necklace, but I cant find it! I had gotten it a while ago with the bracelets, found the bracelets obviously, but no necklace. I think it'll be nice to add some sparkle there to her neck.

Ok, so I snapped a few pics after giving her a bath, and letting her air dry. I tried to not include her face, to protect the innocent... (Ok, really because she didnt have her wig on, and I dont really like the bald look on my dollie).
