On that subject, why does your avatar look so much like Myoui Mina Sharon, US-born Japanese member of 2015-debuted K-pop girl group Twice?Nanako wrote:As an aside, I find it somewhat ironic that the Koreans will allow imports from Japan, given the issues the two countries have had - and have.

Dolls are the sexual revolution for men!
When i go out in germany, there is already a hard shift in dating. Almost double numbers of women going out.
There are long sitting lines full with girls but no man approaching.
I got free invites from a professional speed dating company, because of the lack of man.
But its not men not willing to date, its cost benefits is very bad today.

It's funny. A year ago I would have jumped at that type of invitation. Now I would just laugh and ignore it. A lotreally can happen in a year.Dinosious wrote:I got free invites from a professional speed dating company, because of the lack of man.

Indeed. At the same time. It is most human way to reduce a population. Funny we was expected to be hunted by terminators after doom day. Reality came earlier then AI awake in completely unexpected form )Dinosious wrote: Dolls are the sexual revolution for men!
"Resistance is futile"
In terms of a small country next to huge overpopulated country. If dolls become popular, can we talk about demographic war?

I dont agree to this. Most men WANT a family, a home, a wife and kids playing in the garden.rosen wrote:Indeed. At the same time. It is most human way to reduce a population. The most effective way to decrease population is to put all responsabilitys on men, while taking away every right to his family AND taking away any responsability from women and giving them all the effective rights to the family.
Google how feminism solves overpopulation, they are very proud of reaching that goal.
The Dolls are a consequence, not the cause.

Do we know what next happen with that petition?
Re: Sex doll ruling arouses controversy in Korea
I feel very optimistic about reducing population. It means more people can afford family. Less resource competition after all. Political systems and country can worry about it still.Nanako wrote:It is a curious turn-around. Not that many years ago we were hearing report after report on the horrors of over-population. Now, it's all about "under" population, and our inability to replentish the population in step with the death rate. Although, admittedly, this seems to be an issue in industrialized nations, more than elsewhere.

Re: Sex doll ruling arouses controversy in Korea
Yes they are well aware of that silly moo . Thing is she wants prostitution illegal (fully and harsh sentencing for men ) and dolls have nothing to do with robotics which is where her ethics arguments should revolve around given the name of their campaign and her credentials.Solaris_London wrote:In the UK we have the Campaign Against Sex Robots, who are also against sex dolls as well. I would be surprised if you have not heard about them. The whole show is run by an academic Dr Kathleen Richardson and they are running some kind of petition that hopes to inform future legislation. As a public speaker she is ineffective and as a public debater seems to resort to personal attacks to make her point. What is interesting is that her petition has attracted the support of three organisations that I am quite familiar with - Object, Not Buying It and Zero Option Sheffield. All three have run almost completely unsuccessful campaigns to close lap dancing and strip clubs throughout the country. Where they are effective is raising hysteria about their chosen target and raising funds for their half witted campaigns. It seems they have decided to support Richardson’s campaign because they view it as a route to acquire campaign support funding.
Reality is she uses her credentials to buy herself a hate speech platform against men and none of her arguments really ever reference AI or robotics and even if they did she'd ignore areas of more concern in that context such as AI drones which already exist and blow places up and could be prone to hacking or errors which is far more dangerous than any sex robot...where was her moral crusade there, does it not include dangers of AI in a broad sense?
No because unless it is referencing men and how evil men are for using pornography, prostitutes and masturbation tools and how bad society is for not criminalising all these things then she is not interested.

It's also interesting to note another law they have in South Korea:
"It is forbidden to photograph women without their consent – even in public places. Neglecting to observe this rule is considered an act of sexual aggression and is punishable by a fine of 10 million won ($8,800) and up to 5 years imprisonment."
https://brightside.me/inspiration-tips- ... prisonment.
Note that the law only protects women from public photography.
