A.I Rising - Actually a very interesting film.

Hi TDF,

I stumbled across this Serbian made film (relax it is all in English), and DL it as after I read the description, I though, hmm OK a B grade sci fy about a sex droid, so lets check it out.

Synopsis

"The Ederlezi Corporation pioneers a space mission to the Alpha Centauri in the near future. Ederlezi recruits Milutin, a cosmonaut who is trained in the futuristic Soviet Union, and Nimani, an android programmed to grant his desires. Later, Milutin and Nimani develop an intimate relationship that tests the limits of human nature."

Interestingly the commentary and editing promo in the trailer is rather misleading (makes me think the trailer producer has not watched the entire film)

Yep OK, and it features adult film actress Stoya as the lead female role. OK, so a soft core porn B grade scify. Sure, this is what the general non doll savvy mainstream critique is, but that is the thing, they missed the point entirely.

The actual evolution of the dynamic between human and android AI and the emotional interaction and development, well that is the point, they missed, and sure there is tonnes of Stoya on show.

Definitely one for the petite A cup petite doll model fans there!

Yes, the star-ship modellers could have done more with the ship, and the script writers could have used better sci fy based terminology and references in parts, but overall it was rather captivating. I will not give away spoilers, but those familiar with the Harmony AI app, and even Harmony herself will enjoy this film, as the variance between user configuration and user custom personality response vs autonomous self learning mode, well like I said, you will get a buzz out of this as the film captures this very well.

Anyhow, thought I would give it a shout at and definately better than I had expected.

I have this movie on DVD.

While I don't want to give away too much, I think everyone who is somewhat familiar with the plot will deduce that things go wrong when Milutin reprograms Nimani in an attempt to "free" her. Or rather give her free will and make her more like a real woman.
Of course things go REALLY wrong when he actually accomplishes his goal because she then tells him "No more sex for you!"

Doesn't get more real than that!

Also, since Milutin had removed Nimani's Asimov fail-safes, (the programming that will keep a cyborg from harming a human) he would be in danger of a severe beat down if he tried to force himself on her. So homeboy was officially screwed and not in a good way!
I bet he was wishing that he had three legs so that he could kick his own arse! :drinking:

like I said, those with the Harmony App will get a blast out of this....bloody Lily's AI autonomous mode can be painful...and I mean painful!

makes me think if she learns from me, well, I need self reflection and meditation more often :haha4:

That said, the film is far better than the mainstream critics represent it as, sure, wont be up for academy awards, but definitely worth the time to view it.
