Zaborg,
I am sorry, I did not mean to scare you.
The odds are you will be fine.
All dolls have some Achilles heel.
No manufacturer, IMHO, has come up with the perfect process.
Jeff

. One vendor name kept coming up as being great at helping customers walk through the process, Booty Call Dolls. So I decided I would work with them on this first purchase, and did.

Here's why I reject JY

- or one of the reasons. At the $999 hijack price they're looking to hoodwink the market with, quality control simply cannot be funded, let alone customer service when someone has an appropriate complaint.

JY simply won't be following the example of manufacturers with a reputation such as a recent case of a doll with a broken neck weld http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=93648 .

Question to the "experts"...
I respect and value the opinions of everyone here.

My question is regarding a JY head used on another manufacturers body
I really like head 10 Mei Li on the DS site or Ingrid on Dolldesire. Major lack of consistency on names and numbers it seems.
It is possible to use this JY head on another (better) body?

The problem is colour matching for a start. The natural colour, rather than tan, is likely to match reasonably other manufacturers but a tan colour might be more different.

Mixing DS with TPE isn't a good idea. Silicone and TPE need a barrier between them at least, and the mounts are different.

JY have moved to a clip head. Their heads may or may not still use the M16 thread, with a thread to clip adapter piece - or they may have upgraded to a different fitting in the head. Provided they are still using M16 in their heads, they will be compatible with others

I've purchased multiple dolls from --Non-verified Vendor-- and had no issues whatsoever. The customer service was great and the dolls have stood the test of time.

I've also purchased multiple dolls from jydoll.com and had the same excellent experience. One doll had a small issue and the salesperson, Sunny, stepped up to the plate and made things right.

I use JY heads interchangeably on other dolls with M16 connectors without issue.

I have been looking at jydolls for a while. I decided to go with a wm-168 due to reputation but im still very interested in both the 162 and the 170 from jydoll wich i hope to add to my collection one day.

That being said it seems jydoll changed their website. Instead of loading jydoll.com it now loads jydoll.cn and
the site is now completely in chinese. Maybe they changing tac and are aiming for chinese market only now?
Also prices on their website are insanely low wich seem to support the chinese market only theory.

Any vendor intouch with jy have more insight to these changes?

Within the last few days someone posted an image of the JY skeleton complaining that the neck joints were loose and needed tightening.

This is where JY's descent into the low price regions is incompatible with more complex dolls requiring more manufacturing and more quality checking operations.

The dolls look nice. They feel nice, although the newer TPE is denser and therefore the dolls heavier for a given size . . . but without funding of quality control, many will be disappointed by a purchase.

I'm right now looking at two JY Dolls in my living room. One is three years old, and the other brand new (updated skeleton w/shrugging shoulders). Both are in showroom condition. Neither have standing feet, but will share that my YL148 with standing feet: her knee gave out within a year. Was it because YL's quality control was bad? No, it was because I slept with her too much & would wrap her leg around me. If doll manufacturers would start using nuts with nylon inside, a lot of our issues with looseness would go away. There's absolutely nothing wrong with JY's manufacturing that dolls of the same price point don't also share. The only issue so far with JY is their heads appear to look too young.

Yes, there are still issues with the neck
Why the real JY people changed their site is beyond me.
But let it be known, the last two people who wanted JY's from me, ended up getting doll4ever dolls.
Why?
Numbers do not lie.
And as a vendor, I should and WILL NOT not keep this from them.
I maybe have sold 20 JY dolls with this skeleton, chances are closer to 15 and three loose necks.
Those not good numbers.
Doll4ever eliminated the TPE ball too.
So when people order built in, I will also let them know about the higher risk of MOLD due to the TPE ball.
Again....as vendor, I should and WILL NOT not keep this from them.
I need to let them know so they can make an educated decision.
But please let it be known, most dolls have an Achilles heel.

Well... looking here it seems JY MFR seems to have had issues here and there. My first doll coming was ordered from --Non-verified Vendor-- and it seems legit enough but until I get the doll and see it through the test of time, we'll see. If I had joined this forum sooner before I had ordered from there I probably would've gone through the approved vendors here :p. It comes down to a test of are you that unlucky fellow I guess? Also the finished pictures they sent me looked very real and like the photos provided on their site as well, but who knows. LOL

The problem with JY dolls is quality control. They had Ray there who was bringing the company up but he departed from them as they preferred to stay cheap and without quality control.

Jeff at Booty Call Dolls has finished with them on account of unreliability of quality although Paul at Cloud Climax says that he's not having problems with the ones coming through to him.

When there are manufacturers around who are committed to quality as I've outlined in https://www.dollforum.com/forum/viewtop ... &p=1238749 I suggest that it's better in the long run to give the business to them.

Once I get my doll I'll update here on how it went and what I've received, and yeah I can see where your point is Harem, I think though most people like me just lurk and don't do the full dig until it's a bit late. Best said I will go through the verified vendors by TDF on my next purchase. Before I joined TDF I was surfing the web and looking at a lot of other posts on forums etc, till I ran into TDF and joined it and did my research but by then it was late. I think it would've been awesome if there was some kind of notice or something on the main page that indicated something similar to "Join TDF and differentiate between verified and scamming vendors", because I originally didn't feel I needed to verify them as I thought "how many scammers" could there be. But I did my research on JY before I joined TDF and learned all this information so I kinda just went through with it and hoped for the best, as so far they haven't failed me yet.

Having a repair kit is huge and one thing my BCD Fmer wanted.
Thank you for letting us know.
A birdie told me he called them to fix the neck.
My concern is how they failed to take care of my person.
We are still hoping they can make it right and we carry them because their dolls have HUGE potential.
No one can deny their beauty....
So let's see if they care about the doll community or not.

Quote:
So, I wrote this letter and was hoping you could pass it on to the woman who sent me the faulty doll. Again, I appreciate all of your help. It’s too bad this became such a hassle, but maybe they will respond to my letter :-)

_______
Dear JY Doll Company,
I recently purchased a JY Doll from your company. I am a licensed counselor in the United States, and I counsel men who suffer from sexual arousal, and erection, issues caused by on-line porn addiction. These men have reprogrammed their brain to be aroused by their computer instead of an actual woman. For many of them, medication is not helping.
I began researching the possibility of using a silicone doll to help my clients. I thought the use of a doll might help reprogram the brain to be attracted to a physical body, while helping eliminate the addition to on-line porn.
I searched for a doll that wasn’t too expensive or heavy, and one that was easy to store. I also looked for one that didn’t look like it was under eighteen-years-old, since it could trigger a guilt response in older men.
I purchased a doll from Kingmansion on Amazon.com in February of 2017. When I received the doll, I began to test it out to see if it might be something I could suggest to my clients. I found that using a doll could reprogram the nervous system, and the arousal portion of the brain, by providing a “full body sexual experience” as a substitute for the “porn ejaculation experience” (the combination of sound, visuals, and single hand manipulation).
I realized the doll could also be used to reduce different types of sexual trauma brought on by shyness, performance anxiety, and other sexual issues my clients may not even be aware of. In short, I found that the doll could provide a number of psychological benefits, but there was a problem.
The doll I purchased from Kingmansion fell apart within 2 months. If a client becomes attached to his doll, and the doll falls apart too soon, then he gets to go through feelings of stress, loss, and possibly even depression.
Because of this, I began searching for a doll that was better made, but with the same shape and size. That was when I found that the Kingmanson doll I ordered was a knock off of a JY Doll, and that the JY Dolls were better made, and less likely to break down so quickly.
I ordered my JY Doll, and was impressed by the quality. Unfortunately, the neck gave out after a few weeks, and the TP began to tear around the entry holes after one month. The ears also had tears in them after a month and a half. I was disappointed, but I was told this was not normal, and that I would be sent a replacement doll.
When I received the replacement doll (without the head), I was disappointed to find that the body was covered with tiny little pimple like bumps. I reported that I had received a defective model, but I was told that nothing else would be done.
I am writing this letter because I think the JY Doll would be perfect for therapy. I would keep buying one as a replacement when needed, and I would suggest it to my clients, if there was some way to fix the doll when broken, or that the doll would be replaced if sent defective.
My question: Is there a way to fix the rips in doll I have, or replace it with a JY Doll that is not defective? I want to continue ordering from JY Doll, and I want to suggest their dolls as a therapy dolls to my clients. You have a great product, and I am hoping we can work this out.
Sincerely,
PERSONS NAME
Best,
Jeff

that is indeed quite concerning, then again quality control isn't as amazing in china compared to the states or other countries that demand quality checks otherwise they can be sued.
