Hi ryuu2368ryuu.
You pictures are good and getting better.

In addition to the good advice you got from Hollows and haremlover, here are a couple of tips I use.

1) Take lots and lots of pictures.
Strike a pose, take dozens of pictures. Make slight variations in the angle of the camera, the tilt of the head, the exposure settings.
Strike another pose, take even more pictures.
Strike another pose, take even more pictures.
etc.
Every now and then, look at the picture on your camera display. Zoom into areas. See if everything looks good.

2) Select one (and only one) picture from every pose. There should be one jewel within all the variations.
Be ruthless and select only one picture per pose.
Don't post the same pose from different angles and different zooms.
That can start to look repetitive and loses the attention of your audience.

Practice makes perfect so lets all keep practising.
Thanks,
scooter

Your off to a good start with your photos.
She looks pretty good in them.
Don't worry, the more photos you take, the better you will get.
My photos were brutally shitty at first. 8O
I got a lot better as time went on and I did it more. Now that I have a photo editor and know how to use it, I am a lot better.

The shot is in the pose, the light and the camera. It's made there, not in a photo editor ;-) :-)

Oh yeah, I understand all that, especially the pose. I don't have a regular camera, I just make due with my phone camera. The photo editor does help though. Allows you to change lighting and tweak your photos.....

Two things here
Image

Feet don't look very relaxed. She looks as though they are still in running mode. Need to be more towards tiptoe to look natural. viewtopic.php?p=1222118#p1222118 was a study of posing echoing real people.

Fingers. Always need special attention . . .

Best wishes

Your doll looks great.

I would say most important is to have fun and enjoy the experience. One of the best things I enjoy about photography is one of the same things I enjoy most about riding a motorcycle--it puts you in the moment and you are so involved and focused on what you are doing in the moment that all worries or troubles of the day just disappear. When you are in the mountains with your camera, it is therapeutic stress relief. Same for the dolls. Once you get too anal about things, it can become a mundane chore rather than an enjoyable experience.

Technical details can be difficult at times, especially lighting. But that comes with time and the right lighting equipment. Being inspired by images others have taken is always a guide but try not to create images based on what you think others believe will be a good image but based on your feelings and what you think and see. They are your images and your creation. Everything else will follow in time. Don't try to take a hundred different images at once. Just slow down, take what you think is the most beautiful thing or feature about your doll and start with a focus on that--the face, the boobs, etc...upper body portraits...then later move onto full body shots and experiment with poses.

Just my humble two cents.
“Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride!”..Hunter Thompson

I will try a lot of different pose changes

gonestill77 thank you

haremlover thank you for the advice
photo editor, I will use Photoshop, but the new photoshop is difficult to operate.
Feet don't look very relaxed.
She looks as though they are still in running mode.
Need to be more towards tiptoe to look natural.
was a study of posing echoing real people.
Your Chloe photo is a real human pose perfect. great.

Sange Doll thank you

Realistic feeling changes with a set of hairstyles.
Hiding one of their eyes with hair is real.
Is there a better way?

LonelyDude thank you

Next time I will attempt to close up a part of the body.

It looks like your photos are progressing but I can't stress enough the "natural" look that needs to be emphasized. Your progress is great, keep up the good work

Hi ryuu,

Here's a tip to help you make better photographs. After getting your doll into position, take a shot and immediately upload it to whatever monitor you are using, your computer screen, TV, etc. Now review the shot. Enlarged like this you can pick out things that are wrong and make adjustments to your doll/subject/lighting. Once made you'll now get the photo's more correct and to your liking.

Hope this helps. Keep up the good and tiring work !

Silverado0124 thank you
but I can't stress enough the "natural" look that needs to be emphasized.
"natural" is difficult to see the change with the real thing and the photograph, but I practice.

siliconelover Hello.
Thanks for the advice.
The monitor of the digital camera is too small to see the state of the photo.
I will check several shots.

Now,
This time, I shot Leslie.
I did it with haremlover's advice << Feet do not look relaxed. >>.

I like the face of Leslie, but she becomes a face of a doll when it comes to pictures.
Even if you change the angle of light or hair, it feels like toys. Shooting is difficult.
I want to make it more real.
Should it be better to apply an eye shadow with makeup?
