There I was, 45 years old, learning new jazz drum licks from a 25 year old. When I returned to the stage, people were like: "Where the hell were you? Who taught you that?" Obvious to them, I stepped it up a notch or two.
It is fun to shed skin once and a while. It takes an investment in time. Same with Photography! I spend hours watching tutorials from pro photographers and take workshops. Nothing changes if nothing changes. Things change when I invest time and make the effort! If I struggle, its time to get teachable and take a workshop to learn something new.
Oh yes thanks AH, As I was reading this I remembered how inspired I got when I was doing my early online learning. That's just the feeling I'm currently looking for! I will pursue this avenue and see what materializes.
Thanks Again AH, you've been an incredible help in so many ways!
