Hi Broven, this issue with Flickr is crazy. I've seen many of the pics that you've posted on there and I'm struggling to see how they can have an issue with any of them. Sure there are pics that show nudity but your images are always very artistic and thoughtful and are clearly a celebration of the female form and not demeaning in any way. In fact many are also very clever and humourous, why they should be restricted in some way is beyond me. I stopped using Flickr myself when they restricted the free service and pushed users to sign up for the pro version, a cost I couldn't justify so I've been using Google drive (not very satisfactory!) to upload pics etc. Whatever you decide please don't let this affect what you do as you produce some of the best stuff I've seen on this forum, your images are an inspiration to us all!

And have no fear, I'm not going anywhere. I just need to decide how to handle this, which I'm sure I will. I was having a particularly bad day yesterday. I had a rather big blow up at work with a co-worker who seems to think they know more about my job than I do. That in itself was enough to make me feel shitty, and I'm dreading going in today to see what the ramifications are (she has the ear of executive management, so no idea what's being said...) I came home last night and tried to take my mind off of it by doing a challenge entry. And then find out that Flickr has done their thing - it was a bit of a blow to my already depleted emotional reserves. lol

So I'm gonna give it a few days, see what comes of the work incident, and let my emotions settle before I decide what to do with flickr.

Oh I don't envy your work thing as I can still remember being in just that situation on more than one occasion. For me it got worse when they made nursing a degree level course so we had new staff who immediately felt they were superior to us old folk who had done the traditional nurse training years back. I remain grateful that I had the chance to opt for early retirement, something not available to newer staff now. Good luck with work, at least you still have Anna Marie to take your mind off work crap!

Hey Brov! Sorry to hear about your troubles. On a side note. A while ago I had noticed Instagram pulled some of my images showing nipples. Recently I have noticed they are becoming more open to these provocative images. Most artist there cover nipples with blocking characters but I have seen a lot of bare nipples showing up lately. I have recently uploaded bare breast and the are still up. Just saying, this could be an evolving trend.
Keep doing great works. The world wants to see!

Just here to wish you well as you decide what to do. I agree, at least based on my knowledge of Instagram works, that nipples are the issue, and that you are not alone in fighting this knee-jerk reaction. Personally, I love nipples, and I am not offended by Anna Marie's mammaries, so don't pull those photos for my sake. (I am thankful that you don't post pictures of yours too often, though.)

I went through the Flickr account, and marked all the evil nipple shots. They have to review it to see if I did it right... cause I'm a bad boy and need to learn my lesson, I guess. Of course, when I sent them the request to review it I told them what I think of their perpetuation of the "female bodies are evil and should be covered at all times" policy. So I may just get booted from there anyway. lol In any event, I'll be surprised if they get to the review any time soon.

For those who may be wondering about my "incident" at work... It all worked out more-or-less ok. I was given a stern talking too by HR (who was waiting for me when I walked in the door Monday). I made one of those apologies that isn't really an apology, and was warned not to handle things that way in the future. But honestly I think they know that in 19 years working there this was the first and only time I'd even raised my voice. I now have one co-worker who essentially hates me, but I almost never have to work with her, so... A good enough outcome for me, I guess.

Anyway, that's the update. We'll see how the Flickr thing works out.

Kevin understands all about work issues. He has 2 dialysis clinics he works at. The one clinic he called out patient safety issues and the whole clinical staff hates him for it. The covering clinical manager made sure they all knew it was him who said something, that added gas to the fire. He only goes there now for an hour a week to put away supplies and put a new weekly supply order in. He does any maintenance on Sundays when they are closed. He had already tried coaching the staff and explaining the seriousness of following policy but he ended up having to go above their heads due to the seriousness of it. Can't have patients getting sick or worse on his conscious. When he goes there and staff is present, he walks in, does his work, and walks out without speaking.

I feel like I'm really "out of it" lately. Life has its problems, and I'm used to that, but my muse has been avoiding me. I took a little inspiration from this month's challenges and tried a few things. As usual, I don't think I captured what I actually saw. But... did my best.

Oh, and also.... I'm leaving Flickr. I'm concerned that their policies are only going to get more restrictive as time goes by. I'll probably just start using the Doll Album, but I'm not very familiar with how it works. So I'll cover that learning curve when I feel more motivated...

Lol. I never know what to expect from You and Anna Marie... That's half the fun. Muses are funny creatures - been trying to force myself back into things recently too, still not sure if/how that's working out, but I'm trying. I'm just glad to see Anna again, in any form/fashion - filters or not.

The Doll Album works well for me, takes a little getting used to at first, like anything else. Just be careful if you ever want to delete a photo... I once deleted my entire album by mistake! The fix was to just re-upload the images using the exact same names as before. (I found the exact names in the then-dead links of my thread).

Hoping I can make the trip to see everyone again.

And thanks for making me feel like I'm not so completely alone at the moment. lol Anna has been my muse for almost two years now, and I was getting a little scared to find that the inspiration was being so elusive. I'm reminded of a comment you made once about shooting your girls against the same old wall... I have been feeling the same way lately. "Oh, what am I gonna do? Stand her up against the same old wall again..?" The silly thing is, I know that the background isn't what makes the shot. And, despite the background being repeated over and over... I still think she looks so sweet and pretty and hot, and also sometimes sad... And I love her more and more for that..... Even if I can't figure out how to show it.

I appreciate you so much, man! I truly hope you'll be at the next meet!!!!
