I've been distracted a bit by the new DS EVO that's come to visit, but it was lovely to get to shoot Kayla again. After the EVO, I'd forgotten just how light and easy she is to work with. And don't get me started on just how stunningly beautiful she is!

It's gonna take a while to go thorough and edit the best of all the images we took today. In the mean time, here's a taste of what's to come.......

Stunning. Completely stunning.

Over the last few days I've been most surprised to find the way in which the Lite is a fabulous photo model and the face extraordinarily effective.

I wish the eyes could move and it would be wonderful to have an option for posable hands. However, for many photos the hands as they are are incredibly natural.

Having got aching legs and a rather dodgy feeling ankle from a day's photoshoot with the silicone version of this figure, the Lite's charms

Here's the first shots from yesterday's shoot. It was mine and Kayla's first time in a proper studio, so still getting the hang of the lighting and backdrops , but pretty pleased with these as a first attempt.

The clothes and accessories were all provided by a good friend who wore the outfit to Torture Garden last year. Unfortunately I was having too much fun and forgot to ask about sizes and manufactuers, sorry.

Thanks Hollows,

She does indeed and has plenty of other gorgeous costumes. Her photography is amazing and her studio is a gothic dream. She wants to do her own shoots, so Kayla will be staying with her for a while. I'll post her pics here, as and when she does them.

In the meantime, you'll have to make do with my efforts

Here's a few better edits of that last shoot with the skull. Unfortunately the smoke machine was playing havoc with the auto focus on the camera, so they're not as sharpe as I'd hoped.

Still think the first B&W one is the best, but that's the old goth in me. These are more realistic.

Thanks terabyte, the costumes were all borrowed from a friend, unfortunately we had to give them back at the end of the shoot

Thanks Mondoon.....the outfits and locations are more than half the fun.

Just discovered this hidden gem of a location only 10 min drive from where I stay

Now lets see what Kayla can do with this bad boy!

This place really is a hidden gem. I've been looking for something like this for the past year, can't believe it's on my doorstep. We spent 3 hours there Saturday morning and only saw 2 other people............just said we were doing a shoot for a magazine and showed them Kayla's instagram

Again the costume was provided by a good friend who was also taking photos for her own insta page https://instagram.com/malimoria , she's virtually the same size as Kayla and had the dress custom made. The headdress is also hers, it's hand made by Doyenne Discodia.

There's very little editting in the next set, I just increased the clarity and tweaked the lighting levels, so basically what you see is pretty much how she looked on the day. The colours in the dress work beautifully with the stonework and I'm delighted with the way these turned out.

And finally I've found an image hosting site that doesn't screw up the quality. The previews here aren't bad either, but click on the pics for bigger and better quality.

Very impressive indeed. Kayla's make-up is striking along with that outfit. You are fortunate to have friends with such good style. What a beautiful location to shoot at as well.

I also like the HDR(ish) style of your photos, it makes every shot of Kayla look so dramatic.
